This is going to be a longer chapter. I want to challenge myself to go well over 3000-4000 words. Let's see if I can make it happen. Looking back at previous chapters...I didn't realize I was already writing 2000+ words. LOL. Picture is how I imagine the tub. Embedded into the floor.

JAMES' POV

I can't believe I finally did it. After a couple months of planning and preparing mentally I finally went forward with it. Taking Helena out was my last resort but I know if I didn't she would have gotten in the way. I can't remember when I first decided I wanted to take her. The feeling became so intense it's like I was meant to do it. I felt something pushing me to go forward with the plan. I'm glad I did.

I went back upstairs from bringing her lunch and some water. I want to wait a couple days before going back down. I will have to find a way to leave food and water without having to go in and her staring me down like that. That's the only thing making me slightly regret what I've done. I took her phone and transferred all her data to be received to my phone. I want to be able to keep track of how often Justin contacts her. Damn near every day so I have been texting back and making it seem like she's ok. Just as I thought the cheesy messages couldn't get any worse he sends this:

'I want to hear your voice. It's been so long.' My heart skips a beat as the phone starts ringing. I quickly run back down to where Alyssa is sleeping and rudely wake her up. "You need to talk to him!"

"What! Why are you down here so late at night?" She's rubbing her eyes to pry them apart as she was just asleep. I grab her by her wrist and get right into her face. I pull out a pocket knife and hold it to her neck. "If you tell him what happened I promise tonight will be the last time you hear his voice." She flared her nose, and pursed her lips together in an attempt to refrain from crying. "He was telling you how much he misses you and you're going to have a normal conversation with him...do you understand." She only nodded as she was surprised and scared at the same time. I pressed the green button on the phone screen and put it on speaker so I could hear everything they said.

"Justin." Alyssa whispered, nearly impossible to hear across the phone.

"Lys...Oh it feels like forever since I've heard your voice." Justin on the other end sounds sad and pathetic. It's his own fault he isn't here for her. He decided to leave on a business trip right after they got engaged. He's been gone for months now. I wonder if he left her and was leading her on from the beginning. Probably so. That's why I'm here though.

"Baby I miss you so much! I can't believe you've been gone so long. When are you coming home? I can't wait to hug and kiss you." Is she saying these things to make me jealous! Because it's working. I try not to lose my focus on what she's saying so nothing slips.

"I know honey, I am so sorry. It's only a few more months here. The guys up here are hard working and are building faster than I expected. I'm actually hoping they finish earlier so I can come home sooner. I want to see you so bad..." Justin paused. "I want you so bad."

I felt my face heat up at what he just said to her. I gripped the phone tighter in my hand. Alyssa's eyes widened at what Justin said and she giggled a bit. "I want to see you too! Remember what I said before you left? Keep that in mind." Before I knew it I was pressing the knife onto Alyssa's thigh as she sat in front of me. I don't know what came over me and why I would hurt her. I love her. She winced a little and jumped a bit, "OW!" I quickly dropped the knife and covered her mouth with my hand. She was now trying to scoot back toward the wall again as she did when I first came into the room. I pushed my index finger against my lips silently reminding her to keep quiet and do what she is told. She stopped moving and then she nodded OK.
