Years passed, and with each passing year, month, week, day, moment Anabella grew and her powers of the wind grew with her; getting stronger and more powerful until they were the strongest, the most powerful abilities to be seen in a faerie in a long while. As her powers developed they got harder and harder to control, and little Anabella spent days on end learning to control her powers and hone them in, until finally at the age of seven the wind worked with her and for her, not against her.

Years passed, and as Anabella's powers grew and got stronger she was more accepted by the others. Her lack of wings and the tale of her mark preceded her though and she was still not fully accepted by the other faeries her age. So, on the days where the little faeries at her school were especially mean and cruel to her, her dad would be there to tell her what he always did and then the actions and words of the faeries no longer had all that much meaning.

So, as years passed little Anabella grew up. And she made friends that looked past her oddities, that cared for her, that stood up for her against the people determined to put her down, that saw what her dad saw, friends that knew she was an important faerie. She made friends that saw her as what she truly was, a faerie; not a monster, not a screw up, not a defect, a true faerie.
