"No God no religions just bad bad decisions"
In the beginning, Leah didn't have anybody. But she had him...
An Arkansan cowboy with a planned-out life ahead of him, he had a guitar, a beautiful girl by his side, and a dream. But God had other plans for him...
"Common girl we don't have all day!" Max, 18, yells out next to his car looking straight at Leah's home.
Leah, 16, walked out her front door smiling seeing him there, she walks up to his passenger side and takes her backpack off and drops it on the floor "You have all the time in world for me"
"That may be on the weekends and summer, but when it comes to school, all that time is gone, you probably just made us late"
"Oh I did not" She smiled drinking her coffee from her tumblr
"I don't know, if traffic is nice to us we can possibly make it within five minutes till tardy bell."
"We literally have thirty minutes calm down"
"Leah when it takes you an hour to straighten your hair we are lucky to have twenty minutes to even hit the highway."
Leah laughed and looked forward "You're so dramatic"
And that's what they usually did on the drive to school, bicker and play argue like a married couple until they separate for the day between classes. They were lucky to have at least one class together, and that class would be art. Even though Max is no artist, he is a singer, Leah didn't see herself as a singer, she saw herself as an artist. A perk of them sharing art class is that Leah would draw for both him and her so he could pass. But nobody has to know that!
Then they had lunch together, they always sat in the courtyard and ate in the sun. On Fridays when it was allowed, Max would check out to get them food somewhere. And sometimes, when he thought she deserved one (which is always) he would surprise her to a milkshake. Always the same one if they had it, mint chocolate chip milkshake, if they didn't have that one then a chocolate milkshake. But if it's her birthday or birthday week, a birthday cake milkshake. He never had to do it, he knew that, but every time he did she would blush red.
When school finishes, they meet up at their shared locker and they hold hands on the way back to his car and he drives her home. On the drive home, Leah would steal his phone which is plugged into the aux and she would play her own music. He let her do it because he didn't mind it, but he would still pretend to be annoyed by it. "Hey! Driver picks the music, and the shotgun shuts their cakehole. Isn't that the saying?"
Leah raised her eyebrow "almost. And don't you dare use my Dean against me!" she giggled "Shotgun picks the music and driver shuts his cakehole!"
"Now that is not the saying I know that much" Leah laughed at him, to hear her laugh made him smile and shake his head.
Leah started playing "King for a Day" by Pierce The Veil featuring Kellin Quinn, this song has been her favorite lately. And Max had heard it more times than the amount of people that walked this earth. He let out a playful sigh as she turned up the volume louder. "Common Maxie, it's our song!!"
"It's your song! I just listen to it because of you!" he laughs
"WHAT'S THAT? I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER THIS BANGER!" Leah shouts as she turns the radio up louder, Max sighs and shakes his head as she is singing and screaming lyrics. "PLEASE, WON'T YOU PUSH ME FOR THE LAST TIME? LET'S SCREAM UNTIL THERE IS NOTHING LEFT. SO SICK OF PLAYING, I DON'T WANT YOU ANYMORE. THE THOUGHT OF YOU IS NO FUCKING FUN. YOU WANT A MARTYR? I'LL BE ONE! Common babe sings with me!!"
