Dreams are nothing but a channel
For the subconscious to speak
You close your eyes and sleep
To be transported to dreamland deep
Anything and everything
Can happen here
From defying gravity
To contorting science
Sometimes you experience déjà vu
As if it has all happened before
At times seeing images
That are yet to come
Your brain jumbles it all up
Past, present and future
Coming up with something new
So intense but senseless
Logic all lost somewhere
Sometimes it's beautiful
Other times tragic
For dreams remain magic
Until they turn to nightmares
Your worst fears come alive at night
Paralyzing you;
You can't move, can't do anything
To prevent it all from happening
Right in front of you
You twist and you turn
Until you jerk awake
With tears in your eyes
And sweat on your forehead
Begging the sun to rise up
And a new dawn
To take all the pain away...
