After the party, Louis headed back into his room. He took off his shirt and shoes. He stretched his back. A cracking sound was produced as he did. Louis sighed. He was dead tired. As his head hit the pillow, he heard a knock on the door. Louis let out a quiet grumble.
"Who is it?" Louis shouted.
"Me, Harry." A deep voice came from outside the bedroom. "I came to see Larry."
Louis got up and out of bed. "Oh right. I forgot. Come in" Louis muttered loud enough for Harry to here. The door was left unlocked. Harry pushed it open.
Upon seeing Larry, Harry's exhausted look was replaced with a wide smile. Larry let out a happy meow as Harry cuddled her in his arms.
"Wow, Larry! You've gotten so big since I last saw you." Harry exclaimed.
"Are you calling me fat? Louis, is he saying I'm fat?" Larry questioned. Louis just let out a chuckle.
"Shouldn't you be getting to bed soon?" Louis asked Harry, noticing how late it was beginning to get.
"It's not eight yet. I have about half an hour." Harry justified himself. "Besides, I haven't seen my baby in so long. You can't let me spend a bit more time with her?"
Harry held Larry in front of Louis. He moved her paws up and down with his hands. "Look, she misses me. She wants me to stay a bit longer." Harry said, giving Louis puppy-dog eyes.
"Just let him stay for a while more." Larry pleaded.
Louis sighed. "Fine," He gave in reluctantly. "But if you attack me again, I'm never letting you anywhere near Larry again."
"What if I attack you with tickles?" Harry asked, smirking mischievously.
"No, Harry." Louis said, moving back. It was too late. Harry tickled Louis' tummy. His fingertips brushed against Louis' bare skin, making Louis flinch and laugh. Louis ended up lying on the floor. Giggles and screams filled the room.
"Stop it!" Louis huffed, crossing his arms. "Why is it that with Larry you beg to stay longer but when you were with me, you'd run off?"
"I love Larry more than I loved you." Harry kissed Larry on her head in between her ears.
There was another knock on the door. "Who could that be?" Louis wondered. He walked to the door. When he opened it, the smell of tuna was evidently present.
"Hi, Lou!" Danielle chirped and handed him a plate of fish. "Oh, I got you the food for Larry."
"Thanks." Louis responded.
"Why is your hair in such a mess? Why did you close the door behind you? Who's in there with you?" Danielle bombarded Louis with questions.
"Nobody. Well, Harry is in there but he's no one, just Larry's previous owner." Louis explained. Louis opened the door to reveal Harry sitting on the floor with his long legs spread out and bumping noses with the feline, who had her tiny paws in his ginormous hands.
Harry noticed that Louis and Danielle were staring at him. "Good evening, your highness!" He greeted the princess.
"Oh, I thought you were hiding a girl in your room." Danielle heaved a sigh of relief. "Um... Goodnight, Lou."
"Goodnight, Danielle." Louis smiled. Danielle left down the corridor.
Louis set the plate on the floor. Larry jumped away from Harry and began to stuff her face with fish. Harry looked at her disappointed.
"Food is more important that you." Larry said, even though she knew Harry would not understand. In fact, it was better that way.
Louis placed a hand on Harry's shoulder and said, "I think you should go. It's really late. I don't want you to- you know what."
Harry was not willing to leave but nodded and stood up on his feet. He made his way to the door.
"Goodnight, Lou." Harry uttered.
"Goodnight, your highness." Louis corrected Harry, with emphasis on the address.
"There's no need to call me 'your highness'." Harry responded.
