The Pines family could only stare in horror as the rift in the sky widened. Multitudes of unimaginable monsters poured out, wreaking havoc on the town below. Bill laughed maliciously.
"Yes! Finally!" he crowed excitedly, almost as if he was a kid at Christmas. Then, his prisoners behind him totally forgotten, he jumped off the cliff and flew towards the sky, giddy to welcome his friends into the new dimension.
As a result of being forgotten, the blue ropes that constricted the Pines disappeared. Without a second thought, they all turned toward the forest behind them and ran. Or in Mabel's case, swam.
They didn't know where they were running to, but anywhere besides the cliff would be a good start. Ford was in the lead, and without complaint, Stan and Mabel followed him to wherever he was running. They could hear the sounds of terror behind them. That didn't make them stop, though.
Finally, after a good while of running downhill, Ford stopped. They were at the bottom of the cliff, and Bills laugh echoed around them. Stan and Mabel were soon by his side, and saw that Ford was staring at something on the ground.
They followed his gaze, and we're slightly horrified. On the ground was a massive puddle of dry blood. It stained the ground, and it trailed toward the cliffside.
"Dipper..." Mabel mumbled under her breath. She was wondering how in earth he had survived that fall with that much blood loss.
Stan and Mabel were paralyzed by what they saw, but Ford seemed unperturbed. He calmly followed the trail to the rocky wall to a small crevice at the bottom. He peered inside for a moment, then brought his head back up.
"Well?" Stan asked. Ford turned toward him with a small smile playing on his mouth.
"He's alive, but he's not here. He must have run farther into the forest." Fords start of a smile quickly disappeared when he said the latter.
"Theb let's go find him! He's in danger!" Mabel exclaimed, about to swim into the forest beside her.
Stan stopped her.
"Sweetie, we can't just rush off into the woods. Who knows what or who is out there right now. We need to be careful." Stan said in a soft tone.
"But Dipper is all alone! We have each other, but Dipper has no one!" Mabel almost had tears in her eyes by this point.
"Mabel, Stan is right. With that last in the sky, all kinds of dangerous creatures could be prowling the woods at this very moment. And if we aren't careful..." Ford trailed, not finishing his sentence. He didn't have to. They all got the message.
Mabel took a deep breath and sighed.
"Okay, but we have to find Dipper. There is no getting around it."
"Wouldn't want to. That kid is as big a part of our family as any one of us." Stan replied.
Ford nodded, and they all began their trot through the forest to find the lost cub, all of them hoping the worst had not happened.

Meanwhile, Bill was thoroughly enjoying himself. He laughed as his friends destroyed the town he had grown to despise, finding joy everytime a scream of terror was suddenly silenced.
"Yes! Destroy everything in your paths! Let this dimension know what true power is!" he screamed, with an encore of delightful growls and cheers following.
Bill was so overjoyed, he forgot the most important monster had yet to come through. But he would soon be remembered.
An ear piercing screech resounded through the air. All the monsters fell silent, the only sound being falling buildings and the crackling of the fires. All of the creatures looked to the rift in the sky, and some of them seemed to be slightly scared. Not Bill, though.
He flew giddily through the air as a purple glow poured out of the rift. Two massive eyes could be seen inside, getting slowly closer. But just as it was about to emerge, it stopped short and growled.
Every creature looked up at Bill, confused as to why their master stopped. But Bill was just as confused.
"Master, why aren't you coming out?" Bill asked, going up to the rift, getting face to face with the massive beast inside.
All it did in response was make another low growl.
Bill snarled. "Of course, you can't come yet because there are still two cats left. Don't worry, I'll take care of it."
He then turned toward the monsters who were paying attention, and a wicked smile grew on his face.
"Stop your carnage!" he shouted, and the creatures that were currently tearing multiple things apart and starting fires turned to Bill with a scowl.
"You can return to your destruction later! Right now, we're going on a hunt! Whoever brings back the corpse of Pinetree or Sixer gets first dibs on a country to rule!"
With these words, all of the monsters scurried off with excited yips and howls. Bill himself then turned to his master.
"Don't worry, one of those two will be dead by morning. Then we can finally be free."
The purple creature in the rift growled once more, and without another word, Bill flew off into the forest, determined to bring an end to one of the members of the wretched Pines family.
