The ride to the Lockhart's house nearly took 2 and a half hours. We are definitely out of the city. Not what I expected at all, I was picturing a city with towering buildings and blinding city lights. But, this place is serene and it feels like I'm a part of nature. I think I'm really gonna like this place.
Finally, the car was parked in front of a beautiful house. The 2-story brick house was on top of a neatly cut yard with a pool peeking behind it. Woah! This is a huge house, not what I was expecting. I was imagining an All American house with, but this is totally next level.
"Here we are!" Mrs. Lockhart exclaimed.
"Welcome home, Vanessa," Mr. Lockhart added as he put the car on park and turned off the engine.
As we entered the house, I was greeted by the familiar scent of jasmine. I tried to get as much of the scent as possible. Hmmm, I feel like I'm home. This is delightful.
"I'm sorry about the mess. We didn't get ample time to clean up," Mrs. Lockhart said, picking up a blanket off the floor.
"Don't worry about it Mrs. Lockhart. It's all good." I told her.
"Here, let's sit down for a bit," Mr. Lockhart offered.
We all sat at the black leather sofa. It felt cold.
Will pulled out a stack of papers and put it in front of the couple. "Mr. and Mrs. Lockhart, these are the papers you need to sign validating the arrival of Vanessa Hampton. Will you please sign these?"
The couple scanned the papers and quickly signed each of the blank lines where their signatures are needed. "There you go!" Mrs. Lockhart handed the paper back to Will eagerly.
"I just need to talk to Vanessa for a while privately, please." Will said.
"We'll leave you alone for now." Mr. Lockhart said, and the couple headed toward to what look liked the kitchen.
"Your Highness, I will leave you alone for tonight. Me and the guards will be staying at a place nearby. I'll see you tomorrow. Tomorrow, we'll talk about the school. And call me if you need anything or have any problems. I will always be on the other end of the line if need anything or just need someone to talk to."
I nodded.
"Goodnight, Vanessa," said Will, and kissed my forehead.
Will entered the kitchen and said his goodbyes to the couple. It took him a while, but soon enough, he was out the door, slamming it behind him.
"So, all of your belongings are already in your room. They arrived last week," Mr. Lockhart said.
"Oh!" I exclaimed.
"But don't worry, we didn't let the boys go in there. We all know how curious they could get," Mrs. Lockhart added. Surely, she thought I was worried by the tone in my voice.
I wasn't worried before, but now I certainly am! Boys! Seriously! Out of all the houses I could live in, of course, I would be living with boys!
"Um, I'm sorry, did you say boys?" I asked, not letting myself believe it.
"Ah yes hahaha!" Mrs. Lockhart laughed. "I completely forgot to introduce you to the boys. I guess I was too occupied, huh. And how rude of them not to come down here and introduce themselves!"
"Boys will be boys, honey.." Mr. Lockhart sighed.
AN: SOOOOOO, how was it??? Did you like it? I hope you think it's funny. Because more awkward and funny stuff would happen brought to you by Princess Vanessa!! Should I update soon?
