The drive back home felt longer, like I didn't wanna go back. Also, I remembered that Will was supposed to stop by the house today, but he hasn't called me at all. And I was even more surprised at myself that it wasn't on my mind today. Am I changing? No, that's impossible. People don't change. People grow up. People might show different or new personalities or attitudes, thinking that they have change. But, in reality, they just added another layer to themselves, but, right in their core, lies who they truly are inside.

After forever, we reached the Lockharts. I glanced at my phone, it's only 2:15. Still early.

When we got inside, Megan was watching a movie. Mason was still playing with the dog, and JC must be with Adam. Megan looked at us and asked, "Hey guys, so Vanessa, the school called, and Will, remember him?"

"Yes." Of course I remember him, he's like family. No, he is family.

"Yeah, he's coming here at around 15 mins to sign school paper works. Just to let you know." she said, smiling.

"Thank you," I said, and bowed.

Oh no! that bowing thing again. Seriously Vanessa, stop it!

Hoping that no one saw that, I sat next to Mason. "Hey, buddy!" I greeted him.

He waved his little hands at me and pointed to the dog and said, "Squeegee!"

I laughed. "Hello Squeegee!" wondering how he got the name.

Squeegee barked and wagged his tail. He is a corgi puppy and he's the most adorable fluff ball I've seen!

Mason came up to me and gave me one of Squeegee's toys. He started laughing and dancing around, then his little butt fell on the floor, and he laughed even more!

Then, I found myself laughing along as I picked him up. We just sat there, laughing and playing until the doorbell rang. Megan opened it, and Will was standing at the front door. I feel relieved, and I almost feel like I'm back in England, but better.

The door swung open, and I saw Will standing in front. He found me and smiled my way. I smiled back. Suddenly, this feeling of homesick hits me. I miss my family, but seeing Will standing there makes me feel a little better about the situation.

I had a huge smile on my face and I found myself waving at him. He waved back.

"Hello Mrs. Lockhart," he greeted.

"Hi Will, thank you for making this process easy for us," Mrs. Lockhart replied.

"My pleasure. And just making sure our students receive the best experience."

He entered and sat in the living room. He neatly placed stacks of paper on the coffee table. He then continued to explain what the paper is about, hands them to the couple, and they signed, then he grabs another paper, and the cycle continues.

"To summarize it all up, this meeting included all of your responsibilities regarding Ms. Vanessa Hampton, the school rules and regulations, and everything you need to know. As a recap, your student is Ms. Vanessa Hampton, 16 years of age, born and raised in London,England, and for this school year, she will be attending New Jersey High School for the school year 2017-2018, and it is your responsibility, Mr. and Mrs. Lockhart to treat Ms. Hampton like family, look after her, and value her privacy, and respect her at all circumstances. Do you have any questions?"

Wow. Even though this is all fake, it seems pretty legit to me.

"No," they said in unison.

"Good deal. Thank you so much for your time and cooperation!" Will said, and started putting back all the documents back in his suitcase.

As soon as he finished, he approached me, and said, "May I please speak to Ms. Hampton in private?"

     "Yes?" I asked Will.

We stepped outside, and I told him, "This family is so fun! I love it!"

I saw a smile plastered across his face, "I'm glad you're happy. Just know, that if anything bad happens, tell me, and if you want me to reach your parents, I will do so."

     I nodded.

"Speaking of your parents, they would like to talk to you next week to check on you, and to go over the purpose of your stay once again." Will added.

"I would love to talk to them." I said.

"Well, if you don't have any questions, I need to get going and take care of some things."

"Okay," was all that came out.

He came back inside and said his goodbyes to the family, and to me as well.

"Bye Will," I said, as I was closing the door.

"See you later, Your Highness," he whispered, and the door was closed, leaving my princess identity on the other side of the door.
