It only took about 15 minutes to get to the music shop. So the drive there wasn't as awkward as I expected it to be. I remember when I was complaining about living with them when I first found out. Turns out, you'll never know you like something until you try it. And yes, I enjoy living with them.

Brayden opened the door and the smell of coffee hits me. Mmm... that's more like it.

I was greeted by dozens of instruments sitting there, waiting for someone to play with them.

I've always wanted to play an instrument, specially the guitar. But, I guess, I just never had time to learn.

"Vanessa?" Brayden called out from one of the rooms.

"Yeah?"

"Do you wanna come here and see this?" he asked.

"Sure. Be there in a sec."

I entered the tiny room and stood next to Brayden.

"Hey," I said.

"This is the guitar I was talking about. This was my very first guitar. I got it when I was 6," he said, pointing to the guitar that's propped up next to its case.

"Mason accidentally broke it last week, and I'm glad they could fix it with most of the original parts attached to it."

"That's really cool. I mean like not Mason breaking it, but having most of the original parts still attached." I blurted. Gosh, Vanessa.

I heard him laughed a little. "Yeah, I get it."

"I didn't know you play." I confessed.

"Really? Now, that's a comment I don't get a lot. Do you?"

"No. I wanted to though."

"Oh cmon I'll teach you." he said picking  his guitar and walking on a slightly bigger room.

The room has complete instruments for a band. He handed me his guitar and said, "Here, and welcome to your very first guitar lesson, by the one and only, Brayden Zachary Lockhart, please have a seat and we will get started.

I laughed and played along.

First he taught me what the parts are called and the frets. Then, the taught me 4 chords, C, Am, G, D.

They were all surprisingly pretty easy to learn

It took me about 5 minutes to memorize the chords. As soon as I got them down, Brayden said, "Great! Fast learner! Now, you will learn a song.

"What? No! I'm not ready!" I protested.

We stared at each other for a minute, then finally, he gave up by saying, "Okay, you win this time. But, you'll sing, one day."

"Haha! I promise," I told him, putting my right hand up in the air. "Don't you think you should give your guitar a little test before leaving?" I said, hinting him to play.

He raised one eyebrow at me that was quickly replaced by a smolder. A smolder!

He picked up his guitar and started playing Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood.

All I am is a man, I want the world in my hands

I hate the beach, but I stand, in California, with my toes in the sand

Use the sleeves of my sweater, let's have an adventure....

"There ya go!" he said.

He was so good. No, he was amazing... but instead, I said, "That was really good."

He said thanks and smiled. Then, he glanced at a clock and said, "We should get going. I told mom we'd be quick."

"Oh," was all I could say.

AN: Okay, so up in the media thing, is the actual song that I will put if I make a playlist, if I ever make one, depending if y'all want me too, or if I get more readers, bc right now, only a few people are reading, so if one of those happens, I will make a playlist. I put two covers and I don't know which one is more suitable for Brayden, so you guys choose, 1) Shawn Mendes version or 2)Shane Guerrette version. If you can, tell me in the comments down below. TYSM!
