Chapter 9: winter break

Jenna's Pov:

It sucked that I had to go on Christmas vacation with Louis Tomlinson of all people! We were all down stairs waiting for our separate cars to take us home. " Jenna!" I look over to see George running towards me with a big smile on his face pulling his suitcase behind him. " I have to go my car is here " he reaches out a large square present from his bag and hands it to me. It was nicely wrapped in blue shinny wrapping paper with a pink bow on top. " wow George thank you! Here let me get yours!" I reach and pull his rectangular gift out. It's wrapped in red with a blue bow. " do not open it until Christmas Day!" We both yell out at the same time. " we laugh and we hear a car horn. " thats me I have to go! " he gives me and tight hug. I embrace his scent. " I don't want you to go " I say mumbling against his shoulder. " I know baby it's only for a while ok ill Skype you every day " he kisses my forehead and I frown. " what?" He asks smiling. " you missed " I say and he smirks and kisses me on the lips. HONNKKKKK the car horn goes off again. George sighs into our kiss. " bye baby " he pecks my lips and grabs his suitcase and heads outside.

I wave to George out the window and I feel a tap on my shoulder. " Jenna our car is here " Louis says. " ok wanna go say goodbye to the rest of the boys?" I ask and he nods and heads towards Niall. " bye Liam! *hug* bye Zaynie *hug* bye Nialler *hug* " " what no hug for your best mate?" Harry says frowning. " oh I'd never forget you Haz " I say and he picks me up and swings me around. "Oi!" Louis shouts. " we have to go " he says angrily. " oi tommo where's my hug goodbye?" Harry smirks. " you don't get one " he says simply. " I'm kidding Harreh come here " Harry hesitantly steps forward. " bye Louis have a good Christmas break " Harry spoke quietly quickly hugging Louis and pulling away before Louis could respond. " Harry... " Louis says seeing the hurt in his eyes. " Louis the car we have to go " I say. " Harry txt me!" I say and hug Saddie really fast since her and Harry were now the only two people left here.

" why does Harry hate me so much " Louis sighs laying back against the window in the car as I pull into the drivers seat. " he doesn't hate you Louis " i say turning the engine on and pull out onto the road. " turn down this road here " Louis said pointing so I do. " why doncaster isn't this way" I say wanting to just home ASAP. " it's a short cut trust me " Louis says so I nod.

The ride was long and quiet. Louis didn't talk much. He mostly slept. When we approach my street I shake Louis awake. " Jenna this is my street were suppose to spend Christmas at your house then New Years at mine " he spoke sleepily. " I live on this street " I reply and Louis points out his house on the left and we drive 3 houses past his to the right and I pull into my drive way. " we're neighbors what the hell " Louis says shocked peering back at his house. " ya I guess it seems so" reply slamming the trunk shut after pulling all our stuff out. I pull my key out and unlock the door and we step inside.

" Hello?" I call out then I hear rushing footsteps come from upstairs. " boomer hi my boy! " my dog came down stairs. " glad to know someone's happy to see me " I sigh. " do you live alone?" Louis asked laughing. " no! I just don't know where my mum and brother are " I say. " here ill take you to the guest room and ill go drop my kit off in my room " I saw and direct him to the door across mine and quickly throw my kit on my bed I stop when I see my high school pics of my friends and I on my wall. " Jen..." I whip around to see Louis looking around my room. " hey maybe there in the backyard !" I say and rush him outside.

Louis's Pov:

Jenna and I are neighbors? Since when I don't remember seeing her growing up... We went outside and there was balloons everywhere and Jenna's family was there. " mum!" She hugged her and she started to cry. " I missed you much " she kissed her mothers cheek. " where's Jared?" She asked and I'm guessing that's her bother. " in the lou I'm sure he'll be out soon. So who's this young lad ?" She asked smiling at me. " hi I'm Louis tomlinson I'm 1/5th of one direction and her mentor for the show. " I reply and she looks at me puzzled. " doesn't your mother and sisters live 3 doors up?" She asks and I nod. " oh Louis long time no see I only remember you as a little boy not this handsome young lad you are now! " she finish by Jenna hitting her arm and glaring at her. " mum no oh look there's my little brother!! " and she ran off towards the house. So I go and approach her mum. "How come I've never seen her or you growing up?" I said hoping I'd get some type of answer. "I don't know Louis you should know her she knew you" she said and walked inside.

The party was great her family was really nice! Her brother and I bonded over footie. He was 16 and playing for the doncaster rovers! " ok before the neighbors call the cops I think it's time for bed ill see you all in the morning! " I chuckle and head inside to hear Jenna on the phone. " Harry I don't know!.... Ya but.... You sure about this.... Babe I love you too but.... Oh tell Gemma ill text her!.... You'll get your gift soon I wanna give it to you in person... Ok ill talk to him ok bye Haz ... Ya love u too" I was in shock and a little hurt. He was upset with me earlier and now Jenna's telling him she loves him. I...I felt jealous? " Louis?" I didn't realize I was zoned out in front of her bedroom door. " ya hi sorry can we talk?" She nodded and let me in her room. I looked closely at her pictures and there was about 5 or 6 of them.

I sat on her bed and she was playing with her phone in her lap. " can you put the phone down. " I asked. She looked at me annoyed and put her phone in the dock next to her bed. " I really hate fighting with you Jenna. I really really do. And since your dating Harry now I think we should you know get to know eachother a little better " when I said that there was this great look of pain on her face. " Louis I'm not dating Harry I'm dating George and I don't think it's a good idea " she said looking at the pictures on her wall.

She glared at me. "Louis get out" She pushed me off her bed and I hit the floor with a loud bang. " I'm going to go change ill be right back " I said and walked into my room I'm staying in and sit on the bed running a hand through my hair. I quickly pull of my shirt and jeans searching through my suitcase pulling out a pair of sweat pants and a jumper. I stood up only realizing these sweat pants were not mine but Harry's because they were huge! What ever they're warm. I walk back into the hall and knock on Jenna's door before entering not wanting to walk in on her changing. " hey so-" *BOOM* a rumble of thunder scared the living crap out of me! " your scared of thunder storms too?" I ask to see Jenna on her bed with her knees tucked up to her chin. "terrified" she said as my phone

went off.

From Hazza :

Lou you ok I heard there's a big thunder storm over doncaster right now do you want me to call you till you fall asleep?

To Hazza:

I thought you were mad at me :(

From Hazza :

I'm not I'm just upset this is our first Christmas without eachother :(

To Hazza:

Ok. I'm going to go I'm hanging out with Jenna. Did u know me and her are neighbors!

From Hazza:

I did Louis do not ask her shit that she's uncomfortable with ok? Ill see you after New Years Louis! And don't worry ill call you on your bday in 3 days!

To Hazza:

" you know you smile at your phone right?" I blush. * BOOM * another crack of thunder just pasted over us.

" Jesus Christ " Jenna says and I lay next to her on her bed. " what are you doin?" She asks. " just come here " she sighs and relaxes into my side. *BOOM* and the lights go out. Jenna flinches. " Jenna it's ok " I say rubbing her thigh. " wanna play 20 questions ?" She asks and I nod. " ok you ask me first then ill ask you "

" what happened to your dad?" I ask I feel her sigh. " was addicted to cocaine and got caught selling it so he's now in jail " I gasped and sat up. " Jenna! " " Louis it's fine that was a long time ago " I laid back down with her. " what do you miss about home when your on tour?" She asked playing with her hood strings. " my sisters it's hard being away from them so long" she nods. " how long have we've been neighbours?" I ask. " I'm going to bed night Louis " she said turning away from me. " I wish you'd remembered..." She mumbled before she drifted off. Remember? Remember what? Am I missing something.
