Trapped in a video game (re-writing)

As I walked to Jayden's house with the medicine, it was pretty dark and I couldn't really see, but I made it. I opened the door. It was unlocked for some reason. I walked in and I went up to his room. I opened the door to see Jayden's brother, Mathew with a knife standing over him. I dropped the medicine and ran towards him. I took his arms, and pinned him against the wall. " STOP!" I yelled. He tried to stab me, but I just about dodged it and knocked it out of his hand. His hands were pinned to the wall. "Stop! Let me do this!" He yelled. " no! I won't let you! Why do you wanna kill him?!" I yelled. " he took away my girlfriend! She was the love of my life! I want to kill him! I need to!" He said trying to get loose. But I wouldn't let him. My adrenaline kicked in and I pushed him to the floor and grabbed some ribbon/ rope stuff and wrapped him. I took the knife and threw it farther away from him. Jayden's mom walked in. " OH MY GOD! WHAT HAPPENED?" She asked . " he tried to kill Jayden in his sleep! Thank god I walked in at the right time with the medicine!" I said. "MATHEW! IVE HAD ENOUGH! YOUVE TORCHERED HIM ENOUGH!" His mom screamed. It woke Jayden and he popped up, in disbelief and shock. " I--" he said before being cut off by his mom. " YOU KNOW IT WAS AN ACCIDENT. IVE HAD ENOUGH!" She said taking him downstairs. I heard the front door slam. I rushed over to Jayden. " are you ok?! Did he hurt you in any way?" I asked " no, I'm fine, thanks." He said looking a little uneasy. " Alexsis I--" he said before I cut him off " go to sleep. We'll talk about it tomorrow." I said as we both laid down. " it's my turn to protect you from danger" I said. He smiled and we laid next to each other and I eventually fell asleep.

I woke up and I completely forgot about going home. I looked around and Jayden wasn't there. I got up and the medicine I had brought was gone. So was the knife. I ran downstairs to see Jayden and his mom sitting at the table eating. There was some food on a plate by Jayden so I sat down at the table, assuming it was mine. " good morning, Alex." His mom smiled. " good morning!" I said smiling back. " hey, sleepyhead" Jayden said ruffling up my hair. I giggled. " what happened to Mathew?" I asked " yeah, what did happen?" Jayden asked. She looked guilty and sad. " let's not worry about that, Alex you haven't eaten. Go ahead." She said half- nervously smiling. " um, ok." I said eating off the plate. There was complete silence until I finished. " mom can you give us a Moment?" Jayden said pulling me to the side.

"what happens last night?" He asked. My eyes drifted over to his mom and back at him. " well?" He said. " well, uh, your brother, um, tried to kill you in your sleep, but I got here with the medicine just in time to stop him and then your mom walked in and took him somewhere." I said playing with the ends of my hair. " what?! Where did she take him?!" He yelled. " I-I don't know." I said.  He massaged his temples. " um, I need to speak with my mom for a while. Is there anyway you could go up stairs for a moment?" He asked " s-sure" I said walking up stairs. I stopped at the last step when I heard

" mom! Where did you take him?" Silence. " mom! Where ?!" He repeated. " I-I took him to juvenile detention." His mom said nervously. I walked quietly down the steps to a corner. I peered around to see Jayden and his mom. " mom, why?!" He yelled " its was for his own good. For your own good." She says also standing up. " it wasn't his fault! It was mine!" He yelled pointing to him self. " no it wasn't. You've gotta stop blaming your self! One day you'll end up dead from stressing so much!" She said " I know mom, but now I have no more brothers! Both of them are gone! Because of me! I just knew this would happen! I should've just stayed where I was!" He yelled sitting down with tears rolling down his face. Not again. " look, Jayden." His mom said walking to him. " it wasn't your fault. It was an accident. You know you didn't mean too. Plus he'll be back. He only in boot camp. He'll be back in a couple of months." She said giving him a sympathy smile. " what about chase? He died because I failed to protect him!" He said still crying. I can't handle this. I have to walk over there.

"Jayden. Didn't you say that you were going to live for him? You have to move on. We both know you care but you have to let go. You know he would only want you to move on." I said. He looked up at me. I gave him a sympathy smile too. " it's ok, I'm here." I said. Almost kissing his forehead but it felt kind o awkward because his mom was there. " I know. It just.... gets to me sometimes. " he said " I know." I said. " I'll give you guys a moment his mom said going outside. " do you know I could've been dead or completely killing people?" He said " yes, and it's okay---" I said before Jayden cut me off, too. " no, it's not ok. You picked me up when I was down. You went half way across the lands to save me. You even almost died because. You're my lifeline. And I don't wanna lose you." He said. " Jayden, you won't loose me. I promise. Even when you die, I'll still be alive. I'm...." I said. I liked around for his mom. " immortal, remember? I'm not really considered human anymore." I whispered. " I know, I just, like to protect you." He said. I smiled.* DING DONG!* the door bell went. We both looked at each other confused. He opened the door and it was scarlet and aqua.
