Trapped in a video game (re-writing)

As I was staring into his eyes, his wounds cleared instantly. That's one way to hide it from your mom. I giggled. " what's so funny?" He asked " oh nothing" I said smiling. " thanks for ' protecting me ' " I said using air quotes. He stopped smiling and looked a bit confused and a little hurt. " what?" I said my smile starting to drop. " what do you mean ' protecting me ' " he said mimicking my air quotes.

" well you know I can protect myself and there's no way that he could kill me." I said " well yeah, but you can still get hurt. I don't want to see you hurt..." he said " I-I know. I love you but, you need to stop being so protective of me." I said " well I just...gah!" He said going upstairs. I sighed.

Why does he have to be so... protective? I can take care of myself! Ugh... I walked upstairs to his room where he was sitting on the edge of his bed and looking down with his hands on his head, mid way pushing his hair back, but it's still dangling. " hey." I said standing at the door with my hand on the frame. " hi." He said still looking down. " sorry about what happened earlier... I just think that I don't need to be protected." I said.

He moved his hand from his hair and looked up at me. " well I do. Alex I love you. I- I'm just afraid..." he said. "Afraid of what?" I asked he chuckled. " of loosing you..." he said looking down. I moved his head to look at me and put my palms and his face. " hey, you won't." I said smiling at him. He smiled back as we started to lean in. " hey Alex--" a voice said as we both turned to look who it was. It was my mom. My face started to heat up. I glared at her. She put her hands on her heart, over laying her left hand over her right. " awww! Look at my little baby!" She whined. I heard Jayden giggle. " mom!" I said through my gritted teeth, trying to keep my voice down. " get Out!"  She put her hand up in defence and walked away.

"sorry about that..." I said rolling my eyes. He smiled. " if you think I'm not strong enough... train me!" I said " it's not that I don't think you're not strong enough, I just don't wanna see you hurt. Too much risk." He said " well than train me so we don't have to." I said. He looked back me with unsureness in his eyes. " uhh.." he said unsurely. I gave him a level two puppy dog eyes. " pwease?" I said " umm..." he said straining. I shot him level three. He put his hands up in defence. " ok ok! Just go home and get changed into something more... warrior esque." He said. " yay!" I said and ran out of the room. Then I ran back in because I forgot something. I planted a kiss on his forehead. " thanks!" I said.

I then ran home. I went into my room and changed into some "warrior clothes" that look like this:

Ran downstairs and my mom gasped, looking surprised. " I'll tell you later, mom." I ran to his house, trying to avoid the neighbors and so they don't get suspicious. I sent Alex a text to meet me in his backyard. I stood in the back yard for about 5 mins until I saw Jayden wearing this:

" so, what did you wanna practice?" How bout we practice fighting first?" I asked " sure" he said as we both put down our swords and assumed the battle stance. I kicked and he duck and grabbed my foot but I flipped, twisting his arm, making him let go. " nice!" He said running towards me. I moved out of the way and he flipped off of the house.

He ran back at me and punched I grabbed it and punched him in the face then kicked him in his leg making him fall to the ground. I tried to punch him while hi was down but he just grabbed my arm, flipped me over and I was on the ground and he was standing up. " the tables have turned" he said smirking. " not for long" I said jumping up and punching him in the jaw and then going in for for I final kick to the stomach but he ducked, sending me flying over him but as soon as my legs hit the ground I drifted and ran back towards him turning him around as he kicked me in the stomach and tried to punch me but I ducked, he tried to again but I moved to the side and again until I grabbed his arm and flipped him over, winning the fight.

I shot a smug smile and put my hands on my hips. " and she scores!" I said and then mimicking a crowd. " yeah yeah, I'll beat you next time. That was good though." He said " thanks" I said throwing him a water while drinking mine. He caught it with one hand drank a whole gulp, bringing it down to a half filled water bottle. I only drank a little of mine and it wasn't even half empty. We both put our bottles on the ground and stood up. " round two?" I asked " sure" he said. He stood up and walked over to me.

" this time let's spar with our swords." I said smiling " uh, I don't think we should..." he said " aww, c'mon!" I said giving him puppy eyes. " nope! Not gonna look!" He said turning around. I gave him a level 5. He peered at me and broke. " fine." He said " yay!" I said and we both grabbed our swords. I jabbed but he blocked. He did the same but I blocked but I was just a little stronger and pushed him to the floor. I aimed for his head and jabbed. He moved. Thank goodness. I did again, hoping he'd be ok. He dodged again. Goid. Then he jabbed at me, but I didn't dodge because he was too fast.

A face of horror flashed across his face. I looked down, terrified to see his sword in my stomach. It hurt like hell. The pain was so excruciating that I grabbed the sword, and pulled it out, whicH made it so much worse. I put my hand over my wound, and my eyes drifted back up to him and I fell. The room was spinning. But my eyes focused on Jayden. He grabbed my shoulders and started to shake me. " Alex! Stay with me..." is all I heard him say, tears in his eyes. " I'll be alright, I promise. Immortal..." is all I could say before I blacked out.

I woke up in that strange room again when I first died. " ah! Alex." The voice said. " uh.. hello." I said " how are you?" He said. I wanted to say ' not very well considering I'm dead' but I bit my tongue. " fine... how do I get home?" I asked. The man chuckled. " you have to wait at least 24 hours before you return to your body. " what?! Well what am I supposed to do in this time?" I said. "Look... I'm not really supposed to tell you this but..."  he said " but what?" I asked. " but you need to meditate. If you think about where you wanna go, that's where you'll end up. But only in your mind. You won't actually transport there. Jayden can do it too, he just doesn't know." He said. "Um.. ok." I said sitting on the floor thinking of a meadow, any where but here....
