The First Date
August called Liyah later on that night. As she lay there hoping rest would come, she heard the song Booty Me Down by Kstylis. That Was her ringtone for unknown numbers. She wondered who could be calling her, she had forgotten she gave her number to August. "Hello?" she says , curious of who could be on the other end. "Hey it's August." His voice was sexier on the phone than in person. "Oh Hi!" said Liyah as a smile stretched across her face. "What you doing?"asked August. Liyah says "Egypt and I were trying to get a little nap before I cook us dinner." August then said "Get up! Im taking you and your daughter out to dinner." Liyah was shocked. "Why are you being so nice to people you don't even know?" August sighed, then he replied "Liyah, when I saw you and your daughter today I just knew I wanted to be in your life. I could already tell that you are going to be my future. So why shouldn't I take my future and her daughter out to have a nice meal?" What August just said made Liyah change her mind.
"Okay , what time are you coming? " August says "9, and be sure to wear something pretty" Liyah smiled and hung up. She took Egypt into the bathroom and bathed her. She then took out her braids and wet her hair. Egypt's hair was soft and curly. So it didn't take long to style. Liyah combed her wet hair and put mousse on it. The soft curls fell down Egypt's back. Egypt wore a little black skirt, a blue blouse, and some little blue Uggs with a black leather jacket with studs. She also had a blue flower in her hair with blue stud earrings and a pretty little necklace that said "Egypt". Liyah put her two-year-old to sleep and got herself together. She wand curled her long blonde & black Malaysian weave. She then put on a black Prada dress that hugged her in all the right places. She put on some gold Luis Vuitton pumps, a gold Michael Kors watch and some earrings to match. She grabbed her leather jacket that looked exactly like her daughter's and waited for August. She and Egypt waited on the front porch for the yellow and black Mustang. Suddenly, a beautiful black 2013 Mercedes Benz pulled into the driveway and August's gorgeous face was behind the wheel. He got out and opened the doors for both Egypt and Liyah. "So you're trying to be a gentleman? " asked Liyah. August laughed "Sweetheart I'm not trying. My mother raised me to be a gentleman." Liyah was impressed. She had just met this guy, and already he's treating her better than any other man has ever treated her. August took them to this elegant restaurant about an hour away from her home. When they arrived, valet parked the Benz and they were seated at a booth. A waitress then came to the table. "How are you doing? My name's Daisy. I'll be your waitress for the evening. What types of drinks would you like to start your evening with?" Liyah immediately looked up because she recognized the voice. It was Daisy, her cousin whom she haven't heard from in years. "Daisy?!? It's me, Liyah! How've you been? It's been forever! " Daisy said "I've been working. I just moved back to Miami." Liyah then said "Moved back? Where were you? " Daisy said "I was in New Jersey with my husband, P. We moved there for business but he got fired so we came back. But anyways, what's your number? We should link up " Liyah gave Daisy her number ,and then they proceeded on with their order. "So what can I get you to drink? " asked Daisy. August replied "Bring us your best champagne and apple juice for Little Miss Egypt." Daisy took a look at the two-year-old. "Liyah is this your baby? " asked Daisy. "Yes. Isn't she beautiful? " said Liyah. Daisy looked shocked. "She's gorgeous, I'll be right back with your drinks." Daisy walked away and quickly returned with a glass of apple juice, two champagne chutes filled to the top, and an ice bucket with the bottle of champagne. "Here's your drinks. Now, for your main course, what would you like?" August then said "I'll have the filet mignon and Liyah and Egypt will have whatever it is on the menu that they desire." Liyah looked at the menu. "For Egypt, she'll have the roasted chicken, and I'll have the baked salmon with garlic." Daisy said "Will that be all?" August said "Yes." The waitress walked away and they started to conversate. "So, you come here often?" asked Liyah. "I try to come here on my free time, but lately I've been busy so I haven't had much time to come here. " "So what do you do for a living? " asked Liyah. "Well, I sing and rap, a little hustle on the side. What about you pretty lady? " said August. "Well I'm in college right now, trying to take care of my daughter on my own " said Liyah. "Well where's her Dad? " asked August. "He was killed before she was born, but I'll tell you more about that some other time." said Liyah. "OK that's fine. " said August. Their meal arrived and they talked a little more. August drove her home and gave her a hug goodnight.
