Chaper 18

Lilac's POV

Jenny and I go walking down the stairs. Ashely has moved closer to Mitch, now I'm just about to slap her cross the face. We step thought the kitchen door way and Jenny asks me,

"I see the anger in your eyes, your about ready to kill her aren't you."

"Yes." I say as I pull a knife out of the holder and I start to chop potatoes for fries.

"I'll do the hamburgers ok?"

"Ok." I said my voice still filled with anger.

"Try and calm down for me ok?"

"I'll try." I said putting the fries in the oven.

About 35 minutes later dinner is done and Ashley is gone.

"DINNERS READY!" I yell out they door way.

"Ok babe." Mitch says getting up and sitting down at the table, I take a seat next to him.

We all talk about what happened through out our day. When I'm done Mitch grabbed my arm and pulled me upstairs.

"I made Ashley move after you went into the kitchen." He said

"Ok thanks!" I said kissing him.

I grab my pajamas and change into them as Mitch takes off his shirt and pants and changes into his shorts he wears to sleep. We lay down and Duke curls up in between us as we drift off to sleep.

-----Skip through the boring night------

The door is quickly opened and the quietly shut. Mitch and I are cuddled up against each other. It was Jerome that walked in. The both of us sat up and listened to Jerome rant. After 25 minutes of non sense he says,

"I wanna purpose to Jenny, I need your guys help with the ring, Lilac your practically her sister so I'll need your help the most! Mitch you are just going to be there helping me make the decision." Jerome said anxiously.

"Ok I'll go get ready!" I said happily as I jumped out of bed, grabbed the deep purple dress Jenny got me and went to the bathroom. I got out of the shower. I blew my hair dry and curled it. I left my glasses on, did my make up, brushed my teeth and got dressed. I ran down stairs barefoot, put on my black converse and grabbed a quick bite to eat. I sat in the living room waiting for the guys to be done.

"Ready." They said walking down the stairs.

"Me too!" Mitch took my hand and we walked out the door.

We took Jerome's car. Mitch and I got in the back seat. We went to Kay, which happened to be 10 minutes away. We all got out of the car and walked into Kay.

"Lilac, look for one you think she'll like, Mitch and I will follow." Jerome said leading me to the ring section.

I looked at all the rings, 3 stood out. One was white gold and had one simple diamond. The other two were both gold. One had 1 big diamond and 2 smaller ones.. The other one had 5 small diamonds and 1 big diamond.

"I think she'll like one of these." I said pointing to the 3 of the rings.

"I don't want to get her anything to big, but nothing too small. I like the second one you showed me. The $450 one" he said.

"Sir! I can help you!" They lady that worked there said. Her name was Jamie.

"Yes ma'am I would like this one please." Jerome said pointing to the second one I showed him.

"Sure thing!" She said as she opened the case. "Are we fitting this young lady's hand?"

"Well, yeah. Her and my fiancé to be are best friends."

"And we pretty much have the same sized fingers." I said cutting Jerome off.

Jamie took my hand and 5 minutes later the ring was fitted and bought. Jerome said "Thank you!" and we walked out of the store. Mitch sat in the front seat and I sat in the middle of the back seat.

"Do you think she'll be happy?" Jerome asks.

"Yeah!" I said "Her and I talked about this last night when she got back from shopping!"

"Really?" Mitch and Jerome asked.

"Really." I replied
