We walked outside after the fight I had with Zach. There, two people lead us up to the house we would be staying in. It was the main house, unfortunately where Zach was.

“…And here is your room.” One of the women who brought us here told me.

“I actually stay in a room with him,” I said looking at Jace. The women smiled and said.

“Then come and follow us here.” They lead us to a larger room, “Zach, the alpha is only three doors down ok?” My smile fell but then came up as quickly as it turned into a frown.

“Wonderful,” I said cheekily. They nodded and left,” I still think that your house is better.” I grimaced.

The room was a light blue, and the floor was wooden. A dresser saw off to the side on the wall across from the bed, which had black sheets on it. A door that lead into a bathroom was to our left.

“Listen, we can go back to the other house soon. Ok maybe not so soon but still…” I sighed, jumping on the bed my face hitting the pillow. I sighed in content and got more comfortable, my lack of sleep finally getting to me. I heard a chuckle and the bed dip down, and I could feel Jace’s brown hair tickle the back of my neck before I fell into a deep sleep.

I woke up to the sound of someone knocking on my door, “Raven? I wanted to come and apologize…They told me you would be in here…”  I heard the door click open and then silence, “Why aren’t you in the room that we originally arranged anyway.”

I rubbed my eyes, “I share a room with Jace, get over it.” I said sleepily.

“You what!?” Zach barked at me. I glared and stood up, not facing him. When he didn’t speak I looked down and blushed. I was in really short pajama shorts and a tank. I had changed when I woke up in the night.

I turned to face him and then walked a bit closer and slapped him, “Stop staring you pervert.” I growled at him. He held his cheek and I ignored the tingles that momentarily shot up my arm. I huffed and walked out of the door behind him, once again leaving a very shocked Zach behind me.

“Hey sleeping beauty.” Jace said and I smiled, and then heard a low growl behind me. Zach. I rolled my eyes. Walking up to Jace I kissed him quickly and sat down next to him.

“What do we have planned for today?” I asked.

“Well I was thinking about going with Ethan and Jake…but we could always go out tonight.”

“I’d like that.”

That night we’d gone to see a movie. When we came back I was laughing and happy. Getting out of the car I walked into the house while Jace went to go park. “Hey Ethan!” I looked over and waved while he waved back. Ethan was sitting on a log near a fire, with Jake and Sebastian. My smile grew bigger when I saw that Sebastian had an arm wrapped around a girls waist. I walked over to them and sat next to the girl.

“Hey,” She said to me, “I’m Cree.” She had dark brown hair that came down to her shoulders, and pale skin. Her eyes were bright blue.

“I’m Raven.” She smiled at me and then turned to look up at Sebastian’s face. He had black hair, and dark brown eyes. My eyes flickered to her and him together and she laughed.

“I’m his soul mate.” She paused, “So I heard you ran away from here a couple of years ago. Well I ran from mine, and came here about a year ago. I had to get away from all of it. The only problem was that my father is the alpha.” I thought back to the wolf from a couple of days ago. The authority it seemed to hold was noticeable. I wondered if…no it couldn’t be.

“Well, I hope we get to be great friends.” She nodded and I stood up waving goodbye to everyone.

I walked inside the house to see Jace unconscious on the floor with a scratch mark across his chest. As for the person standing above him? A very pissed looking Zach.

Zach’s POV

From the moment I saw Raven, I finally accepted she was the one for me. Actually I had always accepted it, but I opened my eyes when she ran away. I saw Jace walk inside, the ass. He walked towards me and I put my hand out to his chest. “Well, if it isn’t Jace.”

“What are you doing?”

“She. Is. Mine.” I growled at him.

“Listen, you destroyed her life, and yet you expect her to love you? My god, Zach how conceited are you. Where’s all those girlfriends of yours anyway? Raven told me all about how when she saw you together with someone it broke her little heart.” My head was pounding and I was becoming more and more furious with him.

Where is your mate, huh? She can’t love you after you find her!”

“My mate…” He looked at the ground, “Was killed.” I stayed silent. “But I just don’t want to see Raven getting hurt. Just stay away from her!”

How dare he tell me to stay away from her! My nails sharpened to the point that they were like when I’m a wolf, and I slashed him in the chest. My vision was becoming clouded by red and then I heard the door click as Jace dropped to the floor.

Raven looked at me, “You did this?” She asked hovering over Jace. I was at a loss for words.

“It’s not what you-“ She looked at my hand which had a bit of blood dripping from it.

“I hate you, Zach.”
