The weather had been a little nicer on the streets of South Korea that day, so Namjoon decided he'd plant some new azaleas in preparation for the spring. Jin, who was hard at work in the kitchen, looked over at his kitchen window after catching Namjoon in the corner of his eye. This particular window over looked the garden in the front where Namjoon was parked, watering the newly planted azaleas with the garden hose he'd just managed to repair after puncturing a hole in it. Namjoon wanted to take a minute to thank God for willing man to create such a heavenly object, so strong and easy to use. Though, there were times when he'd clumsily stuck a bit to the back of his forearm and ended up having to bite on a towel, while Jin yanked it off with an immense quickness. Chefs needed to be quick, the onions and vegetables wouldn't cut themselves at lightning speed. Jin found himself smiling tenderly and chuckling a little, as he witnessed Namjoon create yet another dilemma for himself. The landscape artist had in fact shot himself with a powerful force of water as a result of turning the grip to fast while the top of the hose was pointed drowsily at his face.

"What are you smiling about?" Jin jumped as he heard the sound of Jimin's high pitched voice, afraid he'd been caught by someone other than one of his closest companions in the Min household. "Calm down, it's only us." Yoongi bowed slightly, the book still in his hands as he looked up momentarily to greet Jin in his natural habitat.

"Oh, thank God." He held his chest in relief and let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. He relaxed back into the kitchen counter and carded his fingers through his hair. "What are you two doing here? Aren't you supposed to be in the young master's bedroom? Cuddling or something?"

"Yoongi hyung got hungry so we came here to surprise you." Jimin placed his chin atop Yoongi's black head of hair and snaked his arms around his neck gently, startling the busily reading heir as he flinched at the weight on his cranium. Yoongi's cheeks quickly gained a pink tint as he stifled a smile and looked away from his book to nuzzle his nose in the crevice Jimin's forearm, taking in the fresh scent of newly washed clothes.

"Aren't you two cute?" he scoffed, proceeding to look back at the window to witness more of Namjoon's clumsy antics. He only wished he had someone to lean on, but the last time he opened his heart to someone... it didn't end well, and as a result of not being exposed to such pain and sorrow, he'd closed his heart to all things romantic and just watched from a far while all his friends fell ignorantly in love with people that probably wouldn't last. To his surprise, many of their relationships reached endless voyages.

"Hyung..." Jimin looked impatiently at Jin, who was still occupied with looking through the window, observing Namjoon knock over a plant and spill the contents of it.

"Hmm?" Jin replied in a hum and turned his head slightly in Jimin's direction, but his gaze was still firmly fixed on the adorably tactless gardener. Jimin snickered at how unusually smitten Jin was being on this cold winter's day, he almost never saw this side of Jin, he was always well mannered and organised in the kitchen. Jimin had never witnessed him being so calmly dishevelled. Maybe he spent too much time in Yoongi's bedroom and just missed these opportunities as they took place.

"Can you ogle at Namjoon later? Yoongi hyung's hungry." Jin was immediately snapped out of his daydream, offended and embarrassed his younger peer would even think he was slacking off on the job.

"What the hell!?" Jin fumed, his cheeks turning as red as the tomatoes he'd just sliced. "I was not ogling at Namjoon!" He denied. "I-I'm just observing, see? The vegetable patch where he grows all my vegetables is right there!" He pointed behind the shivering Namjoon, newly sprayed at and wet from the hose. And indeed it was, there the vegetable patch laid with a plastic protector covering it from the snow fall, conveniently for the flustered cook.

"Save it." Yoongi spoke up. "That look is priceless, you had to have been, otherwise the meat in that frying pan wouldn't be burnt right now." He pointed to the stove, the smoke reaching the fire alarm and setting it off like a gun to someone's temple.

"DAMMIT!" Jin rushed to the stove and turned it off before rushing to the door and closing it with a slam, he opened the windows to let the smoke out and finally, the alarm bell had ceased to ring anymore. He took a breath of solace as he collapsed on one of the chairs. The couple approached him smugly, an expression of triumph plastered on their faces. Jin looked at them defeated, his eyebrows furrowing in irritated frustration. "I was not ogling at him." Jin insisted stubbornly.

"You like him?" Jin looked at him, that questioning look Yoongi was giving him almost told him that everyone knew what his true feelings for the clumsy landscaper were, but if he didn't confirm it explicitly, no one would know for sure.

"No." Jin answered simply, getting up to make a snack for the young bachelor button. "What would you like to eat?" Jin asked, but his question went unanswered as the young bachelor brushed it off to state another foreign fact.

"Lies." Yoongi intervened again. "Look at the way you were smiling at him, anyone can see you're at least attracted."

"Young master, I asked what you wanted to eat." Jin stood his ground, ignoring the judgement Yoongi had made.

"Stop dodging–"

"Young master," Jin interrupted dangerously, the tone of his voice laced with pure exasperation. Yoongi just sat there with the look of shock embedded in his expression. "I don't think I'm in any position to be in a romantic relationship within this household and to be frank, I like women, not men." Jin was shaking in his apron, but his pride wouldn't let him stop talking. "I was not ogling at our gardener and for the record, I don't believe we're close enough as people for you to be asking me such questions." Jin didn't even look at Yoongi as he said those words, firm even though he was lying through his teeth. "Now... what would you like to snack on?" the room went silent, except for the still sizzling frying pan on the hot stove. Yoongi wasn't impressed by the way he was just talked to, found that his hunger had subsided.

"Jimin." He said in a low voice. Jimin lowered his head so that his ear was right next to Yoongi's. "Take me back to my room, I've lost my appetite." He nodded and wheeled him toward the exit of the kitchen. Jimin was speechless, Jin had never talked back to any of the household officials, his heart was racing with worry for his older friend. He seemed troubled in ways he wasn't sure he could help him with...
