The next day seemed the same, the sky dull and foggy, the feel of cold winter, and the sound of the blowing wind.
Being on the ship was getting more sad for the little girl who had joined, not long ago.
She kept loosing her family and getting distant from her two best friends, but poppy wanted to change that.
His footsteps echoed in Janice's room and stopped for a moment. Janice woke up as poppy picked her up.
He held her close to his chest. "Don't worry about anything, Janice. Stay here."
He walked to his room where there was a small fire burning. He set her down near it.
"I'll go get Percy."
He walked away.
Janice couldn't help but be frightened. She was only nine. She still feared death and things like loosing her friends, but she knew she'd be fine.
Although poppy had never done this, she knew he was her closest friend.
Her thoughts were cut off by poppy walking back with Percy trailing behind him.
She looked up at the two and poppy sat Percy down beside Janice.
Poppy pulled them into a hug, not speaking, but his smile implied that everything will be okay.
Janice felt complete again. This was the feeling she had when she joined the crew, she finally had a family.
She had lost this feeling when she saw Milo, but it was finally back.
A small giggle escaped her.
Percy couldn't help but smile.
"There." Poppy rubbed their backs.
"Now, let's stay inside and play, aight?"
Janice nodded quickly and Percy blushed. He'd never been this close with poppy, he had a family again too.
For the rest of the day the crew played and built snowmen and all had one of the best days ever.
