Chapter Nintey Seven

It's the next day and there's been a little bit of yelling coming from Hayes' and Arias room.

I worried for them. I feel responsible for this. I was the one who told Hayes it would be okay for him to stay here.

I then heard the door slam.

Hayes came rushing down the stairs and sat on the couch.

I walked over and sat down next to him.

"Hayes, what's going on?" I asked.

"Come here." He said and I followed him out to the deck.

We sat down on the chairs out there and talked.

"Aria doesn't want to live here, but I do. It's either she leaves alone or I leave with her. I don't want to leave but I don't want to leave her." Hayes explained.

"It's either or. Be with your friends and family or your girlfriend. It's a hard choice. Because they are both the most important things in your life. And you also need to be happy." I said.

"Yeah, but I won't be happy with myself if she leaves but I also wont be happy if I leave with her." He said.

"I understand. You can come to me when you make up your mind if you want to talk about it." I smiled and walked inside.

I feel bad for him. He's making a big decision here. The only thing back there for him is Aria.

But if he stays there everything here he wants, but not Aria.

"How is he?" Matt asked knocking me out of my thoughts.

"He's okay. He just has a big decision to make." I said.

"Man, I wish she could just understand him. He's been away from us for the past 3 years. And shes close to her friends and family. She just don't understand." Matt said.

"Yeah, I know. It's if she was in his shoes she would want the same thing. But, I guess everyone wants different things." I said.

"I just don't want to see him go again. He's like another sibling to me. I love Hayes." Matt said.

"I do too." I said and put my head on Matt's shoulder. 

"Maybe it's just the best if they broke up. Hayes seems happy with her but I feel like underneath he feels pressured to do everything she wants..I just want the best for Hayes.." I said and looked up at Matt.

"Maybe you're right." He smiled and hugged me.

I just want him to do what makes him happy.
