*******Sniper

I parked my bike in front of the police office, walking in and smiling at Judith. "Morning, Judith, want a pastry?"

"I'll pass," the old woman shook her head with a smile. "You here to see the sheriff?"

"Maybe I'm here to see you?" I smiled and the old woman chuckled.

"Always the flirt, I'd be careful there Sniper I hear there's a little lady out their that has your heart now." Judith wiggled her finger at me and I laughed. "Sheriff Campbell is in his office but if he asks I tried stopping you."

"Always," I winked at her before setting a danish on her desk and walking into Joseph Campbell's office. "Morning, Sheriff, pastry?"

"What do you want?" Campbell growled, glaring at me as I sat and placed my boots on his desk.

"I wanted to know what you knew about an FBI agent that's investigating the club." I gave a smile as the Sheriff shook his head. "Listen, you and I both know that if I wanted to I could easily tell Mrs. Campbell where you spend your Friday nights after work. Could even get Cinnamon to talk to her for me. Strippers will do anything for money, or so I'm told."

"You're a bastard," Campbell huffed and I chuckled.

"So I'm told," I shrugged, dropping my feet and leaning on my knees. "Now, everything you got on an FBI agent Charlie Williams." Campbell stood and I followed as he handed me a file. "Thank you for your assistance."

"You think your little girlfriend is gonna like the fact you're investigating her father?" I turned and gave him a hard glare.

"Leave her alone, Campbell, she has nothing to do with this." I warned and the Sheriff gave an amused grin.

"If I were you, I'd be careful." He shrugged, "Especially with that girl of yours." I resisted the urge to punch him in the face and walked out to my bike, giving Judith a smile as I left. I couldn't get the worry out of my head as I rode down the road. Pierce wanted to know everything about Charlie Williams, and I did too, especially if his investigation hurt Sparrow. But I hadn't really thought about how Sparrow would see it. Hell, didn't know how Sparrow would feel if I was asked to help out... Or get rid of him. I was a nomad, I was a hired gun, I did what I had to. But would she it that way? Would I lose the one person that made me feel whole again? Fear gripped my chest, it was the type of fear I hadn't felt since Iraq and I had to stop my bike before I crashed. I took a deep breath and calmed my nerves before starting it up again. I pulled into the compound and Sparrow was playing with Hayden and Delilah. "So, question, when Hayden gets older and starts flirting with Delilah what are you gonna do?"

"Your kid better stay away from my little girl, Pierce." Slasher warned and both Avery and Harper started laughing as the two men glared at each other.

"Sorry I brought it up." I shook my head before my eyes landed on Sparrow. She gave me a small smile and I felt something grip my heart tightly, making my entire body heat up. I returned the smile before turning back to Pierce. "I got what you asked for."

"Let's take this to Chapel." Pierce kissed his Harper's cheek, Slasher doing the same, as we all went into the club and into the room for Chapel.

"Here,"  I set the file on the table and pushed it towards Pierce. "I'm not sure I can have any part of this, Pierce. You know I'd do anything for you and this club but this is Sparrow's dad."

"I know," Pierce rubbed his jaw. "I don't like it anymore than you do. But not only is he starting to become a pain in the ass but his business is starting to hurt people, Sparrow specifically." My fist clenched at my sides just thinking about it. "Cody's looking for the guy that got away."

"I want to talk to him first," I clenched my jaw. Those five years in Iraq taught me a few things that I wouldn't mind testing out on the scum that hurt my girl. Damn... When did I get so possessive over Sparrow?

"That's fine with me," Pierce shrugged. "Just don't kill him before we find out how they got back into town."

"Deal."

*********Sparrow

"So, when are you gonna fuck him?" Harper asked as we sat on the picnic bench in the back of the compound.

"Jeez, Harper, you know there are kids right?" I shook my head and Avery laughed as she sipped her beer.

"They aren't paying attention." Harper rolled her eyes, looking at the little ones running around. I knew both Harper and Avery wanted another kid but both men were hesitant. Pierce just wasn't ready for another one and Slasher was afraid he'd lose Avery. The Doc said if she were to have another baby then there was a bigger chance she and the baby may not survive the birth. It sucked and I felt bad for both my friends. "Answer my question."

"I don't know if I am." I shrugged, sipping on my own beer. "Sniper and I are complicated."

"Not really." Avery snorted and I looked at her with a confused look. "Look, you like him and he likes you. I haven't known Sniper as long as Harper but from what I hear he isn't one to be friendly. Hell, it took him a long time to even really talk to me. His eyes light up when he sees you, Sparrow. That man would kill and be killed for you, I see it. Harper sees it. Now, you just have to see it. Let that man love you and love him back. Lord knows you both deserve it."
