Song Jihye POV
"Breaking news: The criminal has been identified as 16 year-old Song Jihye," The television reported as the sports channel flickered onto the news.
My eyes widened as I saw a photo of myself pop up onto the screen.
I gotta get out of here. But the real question is, where do I go?
Obviously, Areum went to Jongin and his gang for help of trying to find me, I'm not dumb.
Standing up, I walked out of the living room to find someone sitting on the countertop of the kitchen.
They stared blankly at the white floor tiles beneath them. Their dark red hair was fluffy and unbrushed. They had dark circles under their eyes.
"Are you okay?"
They looked up. Their eyes bore into me as I stood suspiciously near the countertop.
"They are going to find you." They spoke up.
Snorting, I propped myself up to the countertop near them.
"Is that why you are acting so weird? You're worried that they will find me? Jihyo calm down!"
"You're going to have to continue with the game."
Sighing, I looked up only to find Jihyo staring again blankly at the tiles.
"If I have to, then I will. But I'm going to keep running and running until they can't find me."
"You're risking everything to restart your life."
"I know." I nodded before jumping off the countertop.
He's such a caring cousin, but he is always too concerned.
He thinks too much about others. He focuses on family and friends more than himself.
"Song Jihyo, I'm leaving. Thank you for giving me a place to stay for a few days and if you hear of my name being on the news, don't worry." I reassured him before walking out of his house.
Now, where do I go?
I pulled my grey hoodie all the way up and put on my dark sunglasses with a face mask.
My cousin, lives in Busan. It was the city where I was born and grew up in before, my father smuggled me into Seoul to start the game.
Walking towards the sea, I noticed that there were many families hanging out nearby.
That could have been me. That could have been my family. My mother, father, Areum.
But tragic isn't it? My parents just had to choose the path they chose for my sister and I.
Now, my father is dead. My mother, she is in a mental hospital.
My sister? Still caring about me. I know she wants me to come back, but I can't.
I'm tired of being involved in my parents businesses.
I'm tired of killing people.
I'm tired of running away.
I'm tired of being the shy and quiet girl in school so I wouldn't get suspected.
I'm just sick and tired of everything and everyone.
