Sleepy Head

Suddenly I'm in someone's arm and being hoisted up the stairs. The cold air surrounded my body and i snuggled deeper into the arms beneath me. A chuckle escaped there lips and i stayed still not wanting to let air on the warmth side of my body. 

"Her room is right up here" Shirley says to the one carrying me and hard steps upwards signalling were going upstairs. The comfort of my bed invites me in as soon as my head hit the pillow. The stranger takes off my shoes and tosses them to the side. Soft lips press against my forehead a light whisper goodnight before he leaves and shuts the door behind him. 

"Here's some pillows and blankets, I'll call Scott and tell him yall are over here" Shirley tells the person on the other side of the door. Sleep greets me friendly as my eyes shut once more. 

 A bright light appeared in a dream. So bright, I had never seen anything like it before. Then, I saw myself falling, the light went out and all around me was pitch black; all I could do was hold onto my body. I tossed and turned in my sleep, holding my body the same way I was holding myself in the dream.  Something hit me. Hard and blunt hits from all over leaving all to familiar bruises. Soon the light turned on again and I was blinded by what was up ahead. I'd be dead if he came anywhere near me.  Nothing made sense anymore; I closed my eyes and prepared for the worse. The bright light turned out once again. All around me was darkness and ..... seconds into my emotional tangle, the light turned back on, but this time everything was black and white. Plain. Nothing had color. Hands then scraped from the darkness and wrapped around my throat snatching any breath I had out. 

I woke up screaming and crying when Brien ran into my room. "Em whats wrong what happened"  he asked frantically switching on the light. Tears pouring down my face as past memories surfaced. Luke was then beside me shaking me frantically trying to get me to open my eyes. "It was just a nightmare" someone said gripping me tight. "No..no it was real" I caught myself saying. "I'll stay with her" Brien said and they agreed on taking turns watching over me. Luke switched off the light and Brien settled into the floor beneath me. I was scared and cold. 

"Brien?" I asked wondering if he was still awake.

"Yea?" He answered.

"Will you lay with me?" I winced to myself. He didn't say a word at first but then i felt him sliding under blankets into the empty spot next to me. I crippled into his side and he places his arm around me. "Thank you" I shivered shutting my eyes to the beat of his heart. Soon I was asleep but not before I felt his hand grip mine interlacing our fingers as he warms me up.
