Lapis pov Lapis Lazuli was never one to like school. She scowled as her father and mother drove her to boarding school. Quartz academy. If you attended you were rich, or just really smart, or both. Lapis was the second one. Lapis's dad was a Latino man, who had his own company, and her mother was snobby, she stayed at home. They lived in the Bay Area. Lapis was a " little punk," she had dyed hair, ripped skinny jeans, band tees, leather jackets, combat boots, you name it. Lapis didn't like having so much money. She thought it made her look stupid and full of herself. She wished she was "normal." She had ok grades. She liked drawing. She had no friends back home, so what's the point, no one liked her. She was considered stupid and even bullied verbally because she was considered a freak. It didn't help that she was bi and some of her bullies came from homophobic households and spat homophobic remarks. Lapis had been diagnosed with severe depression as of last year. She said bye to her parents, and walked into the front office, to see the principal, who was supposed to be rich, sitting in a spinning chair. Mrs. Universe. Rose Quartz. Founder of the school. She had coils of pink hair that were long and poured out. Her attire was a white formal dress and pink flats. A young boy who looked to be her son was stacking some papers at the other end of the room. His name tag read; ✨Steven ✨. " Oh! Hello, you must be the new student lapis? Nice to meet you!" Greeted Mrs universe. " mm." Lapis managed. " So, here is your planner lapis, your dorm key, and there are no uniforms required. You have a roommate, and don't worry, Lapis! Many others are new fresh mans, and school won't start until next week! You were just a day or so late." Lapis thanked her and slowly walked down hallways and up a few stairways with her heavy luggage, until she finally reached her dorm number, and unlocked the wood door. She opened it to see half of the room with gaming posters, math and science awards, green color EVERYWHERE, and rainbow pride flag, an alien plush, and a short girl with blonde hair and a green hoodie playing overwatch and screaming, a few dirty socks and notebooks scattered all across the room and on a desk and small dresser.The side of the room she assumed was hers was empty except for a bed, mattress, new sheets, a small dresser, and desk and chair. "GET REKT!!!" The short girl shrieked into her headset. She must have heard lapis come in, so she paused the game and looked over at her. " Heya welcome to campus, I am Peridot diamond." " Hey. I'm Lapis. Lapis Lazuli." Lapis responded. " Peridot helped her carry her stuff by lapis's bed and showed her the bathroom, and a cabinet for snacks. She helped lapis put away some of her clothes, which was nice of her, and then go back to gaming. Lapis finished putting away all of her clothes and layered her sheets. She put on a blanket and an ocean-themed comforter. She put two blue pillows on the double sized bed, and set a lamp on the desk, put down her sketchbooks and pencils on the desk, and posted an MCR poster on the wall, (lol,) and put her makeup in the empty sink cabinet. She also put a tiny whale ( get my reference ?) plush on one of her pillows. Soon it was around 10:00 pm and the students had to do lights out. " Good night Lazuli," Peridot said. " Night Peridot."
