I opened my watery eyes to the brightness of day, I was now standing in the middle of the meadow I had just seen in the vision. I looked around in shock noticing the huge castle in the distance.
"I-I'm in Victubia" I said out loud
"that you are" the sup guy said happily "this place is your home, you used to come here all the time as a child"
his words reminded me of what I had seen "so... what happened was real? I really have been here?"
the sup guy nodded
I then realized something else "then that means... I'm not adopted... Mark really is my father" I shook my head in disbelief "all this time he lied to me because he wanted me to have a normal life..." I couldn't believe it, apart of me didn't want to believe it. "so, what do we do now?" I asked him.
the sup guy jumped down from my hand "we must see Lady Krism, the queen left her in charge before she disappeared" I nodded "well alright then, lead the way"
I followed the sup guy and the messenger duck from the meadow to a dirt road that lead down hills and over rivers. Each sight amazed me from being in such a beautiful place, each new sight took my breath away.
"why would my dad ever want to take me away from a place so amazing" I asked softly looking up at a cherry blossom tree that grew next to a bridge. I laughed as a petals turned into fairies and flew into the air, their tiny laughter filled the air as they chanted "The Princess has returned!" the sup guy hopped up onto the bridge and walked next to me "it seems the kingdom is excited of your arrival, I'm sure we will receive even more greeting when we enter the village outside of the castle. The kingdom loved you very much, and you had loved you too. When you were born the kingdom through a huge festival in your honor" the sup guy trailed off as we approached the village gates.
"who goes there?" one of the guards yelled from one of the watch towers
"show them the bracelet" the sup guy whispered
I raised my wrist flashing the bracelet that continued to glow purple.
the guard lowered his bow and arrow gasping "it can't be...open the gates! our princess has returned!"
I laughed under my breath lowering my wrist "okay, so being princess isn't all that bad"
the huge iron gates opened showing a bustling village seem to pause as everyone stared at me. I slowly began walking through the gates, my cheeks grew warm as my shyness kicked in. I hate crowds, especially when the crowd is staring at me.
"they look as if they've seen a ghost" I whispered to the sup guy "they look as if they thought I was..."
"Dead?" the sup guy added "yeah, something like that"
I stopped dead in my tracks as a little girl in drags ran up to me holding up a tattered doll "please Princess, will you fix my dolly?" the little girl wore her blonde hair in pigtails that hung on either side of her head. She smiled flashing a gap between her teeth, probably where she lost one of her baby teeth. I keeled down smiling "what's your name sweetie?" I asked
"Emma" her sweet voice spoke "I'll be six next week" she added sending chills down my spine. She's about to be as old as I was when I was taken from here. I shook my mind of the thought and smiled a weak smile back "alright, think of this as an early birthday present from yours truly" I raised my hand that bared the bracelet gently moving hand over her head sending magic through her. I watched as her blonde hair became clean, her hair began running down her back in beautiful ringlets that bared flowers all through it, her rags for clothes transformed into a beautiful purple dress, her once dirty face was now clean, her cheeks were bright red as she smiled in amazement. The whole village clapped and cheered as the magic ended with her doll becoming good as new baring the same purple dress as her. "thank you so much princess Eleanor" the girl chimed "how could I ever repay you?"
