"I am thankful for our commander." Hanji exclaimed, clapping her hands together.

The smile was large and prominent on her face, clearly showing how exited she was for this little activity.

Really, it was kind of boring, but she thought it was important to bond. But, if you really looked on it, none of the cadets wanted to do this. Or be here, for that matter.

"He's always there for us. He leads us and keeps us organized. And he's a wonderfully, sweet caring man." The said man blushed, nodding in thanks.

Everyone knew they had something. Either they were in love or dating, or fucking each other. Probably both. And if wasn't both, it definitely was the latter. Because there's no way you be that thankful for a relationship.

"I'm thankful for all of my cadets, that dedicate their lives to help humanity, and risk them everyday out in the field. I'm also thankful for my higher ups, for example, the captain and of course, my section leader." Hanji giggled, making the cadets roll their eyes.

Next was Corporal Levi's turn. This was the one I was waiting for. Because in reality, it didn't seem like he was thankful for anything. After all, he's been through so much fucked up shit I wouldn't blame him. Reminds me of myself, actually. Maybe that's why I was so curious? Or it could be the fact of my slight crush on him.

Okay I lied. Maybe it wasn't a slight crush but who could blame me? He's hot. Yeah, he occasionally beats me, which might make me a sadist, but I love it. I didn't at first, so don't get your panties in a bunch. But as time went on, and hell, it hurts a fuck ton, I couldn't help but think he was giving me special treatment.

"Levi, it's your turn." Hanji urged, making the captain roll his eyes.

"Yes, I know shitty glasses." Then, without hesitation, he looked at me. "I'm thankful for the Titan brat. He's a nuisance, but he's helped the survey corps a lot."

Everyone nodded, but I couldn't help but smile. Levi specially called me out. I assumed he wouldn't be thankful for anything, but he was for me.

After a couple of more people it was my turn. I had almost forgotten what I was thankful for in the eternal commotion of the captain saying he was thankful for me.

"Eren?" Hanji asked with a smile.

"I'm thankful for my friends. I wasn't too happy they followed me here at first but now I'm grateful. Without them, I wouldn't have been able to get through this journey. I'm also thankful for the supportive subordinating officers. They're like parent's to me. But also new friends."

"Aw, my Titan baby!" Hanji cooed, leaping over to hug me. "Everyone hug break!"

Hanji broke away and went to hug others. We had to hug everyone in the circle at least once. I was saving Levi for last.

Hanji hugged Erwin, which the guy seemed grateful for. Jean was hugging Armin, practically squashing the poor blonde boy. Mikasa was hugging both Sasha and Connie, or rather in the middle of both of them looking extremely uncomfortable. Reiner was hugging the timid Bertl, who appeared to melt into the larger guy's grasp. Bet they're fucking too.

Krista was being smothered by Ymir, but what else was new? She'd even growl at everyone who tried to come within a four foot radius.

I of course was the odd man out, watching everyone hug. Suddenly a finger tapped on my shoulder and I turned around. Bingo.

"Heichou!" I grinned, facing him. "Are you done?"

"Well, I haven't hugged you yet-"

"Thanks for saying you were thankful for me-ow!" Levi had flicked me in the forehead.

I reached up and rubbed it.

"I was still talking brat. But I meant it. You're welcome. Now come here. I hate being touch and I was practically molested by the whole survey corps in a matter of five minutes." I laughed and nodded again, stepping forward.

I outstretched my arms readying for a hug, when he pulled pulled me down. My eyes widened, and my body froze.

This wasn't a hug.

When he pulled away, Levi smirked and crossed his arms. "You're welcome brat."

I didn't even have the energy to watch as he left, strutting as walked away triumphantly. I was still frozen in shock.

My hands went up to lips where Levi's graced just seconds before. I didn't notice Mikasa and the other's come over either.

"Eren? Eren? Eren! What's wrong? Are you okay?" I heard Mikasa voice call, but I didn't answer.

I was totally fine, obviously. Maybe even better than fine. Double fine. Triple fine. Too fine to even count how fine. None of that mattered anyway. I turned away and watched Levi's back as he talked with Hanji and Erwin.

I smiled again, probably creeping my friends out. Probably even more because I didn't answer them at all.

"Eren?"

"Hmm?"

"You're acting funny, is everything alright?"

"Oh? Yeah..." I replied, giggling to myself. "Just giving thanks. That's all."
