Daddy Ashton

Chapter 13:

After sitting there crying for a couple minutes I hear the doorbell ring so I wipe my face with my hands and walk out to open the door. When I pull it open I see Jennifer standing there, "awe Jessica come here" she opens her arms and I fall into them crying. "It will be ok" she tries to soothe me "but it won't it's like I can't breathe without him here, like he took my heart with him" she pulls away and looks at me. "I feel the same way with Michael he's my everything and being away is so hard" she tells me and we walk in. Ryan is still watching tv but when he looks over at me and sees me crying he runs to me.

He reaches his arms up so I try to bend and pick him up but that doesn't work so Jenn does it for me. "Aunt Jess what's wrong" Ryan asks looking me in the eyes "it's nothing I just miss Ashton" he drops his head "me too". "Really"I ask " yeah he's cool I know he won't hurt me like Nick did mumma he's nicer, he doesn't yell at me" he looks sad at the mention of his mom". I hug him close and kiss the top of his head "Ryan look at me" he does "no matter what I will always protect you and so will Ashton. If Nick ever tries to hurt you I won't let him do you understand" he nods placing his head on my shoulder, his face in my neck and I realize he's falling asleep.

I walk with him to his room and place him on the bed and tuck him in. After placing a kiss on his cheek I shut the light off an walk out. I walk to the living room and sit on the couch next to Jennifer "so how have you been" she asks me. "I've been good my stomach has been hurting" "is that a bad thing" I shrug "I don't know I hope not. I think I will just go to bed and hope I feel better tomorrow.

A week Later:

I woke up as a huge pain rippled through my body. "Shit" I say clutching my stomach. I try to get up but I end up screaming. Jennifer runs through the room "oh god Jess what's happening" "I don't know it's too soon please get Ryan and drive me to the hospital". She nods and runs to get Ryan and as she does I grab my phone and call Ashton while breathing heavily. After two rings he answers "hi babe how are you" I take a deep breath "I think it's time" "what" he yells "I woke up with this pain but it doesn't feel right please I need you what if something is wrong" "nothing's wrong" "ash it's getting harder to breathe" I struggle with my breath and drop the phone. "Jess! Jess" I hear him yell through the phone but everything goes black.
