Days has passed. Weeks have quicken. And before I knew it, I have 2 more weeks until finally coming home.  Let's not forget that now me and Elijah can't get enough of each other. I wake up every morning finding a card with a written destination. And as I follow the trails to the location, my favorite candy is leading me to him.

Whenever I reach him, he greets me with a kiss on the cheek and we start a new adventure. Last week we went berry picking. Yesterday he brought me to the lake and played rock skipping or at least that's what he calls it. Today he decided to go swimming.

Now I'm not the best swimmer but I do trust him enough to help me. "Are you sure about this?" I whinnied. "Emberly..just like I promised you. I'll be your knight and shinning armor." he slowly kissed my hand. My nerves curled into a ball once he assured me that I'll be safe.

He lead me to the top of the waterfall. It looked glamorous. The sun shinned down reflecting our shadows. I felt his arms embracing my waist, and with one sudden move I was wrapped in his scent. My breathing was awed as I felt him kiss my forehead.

"Why can't you just stop being so darn cute?" I urged. "You just gotta ruin the moment huh?" "That's my job." I winked. "Okay so are you ready?" "Ready for what?" I asked. "The jump?" "The WHAT?" I glanced down and watched as the water shuffled down the ocean floor.

"Oh heck no. Today is not going to be my last." I replied taking a couple of steps back. "Oh come on, Em. I'll protect you." "Elijah...I like you but not enough for us to be locked up in the same death bed." I noted. He pulled me back to him.

"Look at me." My eyes slowly rose up to his. "You will be fine. I will protect you." His lips planted a peck, enough for me to sigh in defeat. "Kill me and I'll haunt your life forever." "I'll like that a lot." he winked. Taking my hand, we backed up.

He counted on three and before I knew it, we jumped off the cliff of the waterfall. All I heard were screams before my mouth was filled up with water. I struggled as I didn't find Elijah's body. Water consumed my throat as I tried swimming up to grasp air.

Flashes of memories emerges in my mind. Maybe this was it. I told Elijah he was going to kill me! I guess I jinked myself. Best believe I'll give him more nightmares then he can count. I closed my eyes and slowly stopped struggling. I wanted to die peacefully.

A strong arm yanked me aside and I was able to breath again. I heard my name being called more than once, but my eyes wouldn't budge. My body continued to shake by a hard grip. "Emberly please open your eyes." he pleaded. I felt his lips on mine. Air was being forced into my lungs. His lips were so soft, like plush candy.

I felt tears dripping on my cheeks. "Emberly please. I'm so sorry." My heart ached to hear my Elijah crying. Finally I coughed out air, and my eyes opened widely. "Oh thank God!" he shouted. He rocked me in his arms.

"I'm okay." I mumbled in relief. "You're okay." he repeated. His tears soaked with mine, and we stayed in a hug for a minute or two. "What happened?" I questioned. "I lost you when we fell in the water. Emberly I'm so so sorry. I could of killed you. I could of lost the girl that I fell for. I could of--Shhh." I interrupted him.

I kissed away each tear that fell from eyes. "I'm okay." My hand landed on his cheek, and our fingers intertwined. Moving my face closer to his, my lips reached his. He stayed still before responding back. His arms stayed around my body, and I absorbed his body heat.

"It's time to go." he said. I slowly got up but he scooped me in his arms. I giggled. "Elijah I said I'm fine." "I know but the least I could is carry my almost killed princess back to the camp. "Hey! Lets not forget it would of been YOUR fault if I died!" I slapped his chest.
