The sun was disturbing my morning nap, and from there I woke up with a grouch. "Emberly your awake!" Amber cheered taking a spoon of cereal into her mouth. "I guess..." I mumbled. "Your breakfast is by your leg, make sure you don't tip it over." Amber informed typing away on her phone and continuing to eat.
Yawning and stretching my body, I went over to brush my teeth. "Um where is the sink?" I asked. "Outside." Amber replied pointing to a tree. "I need clean water." I cried angrily. She handed me a bottle of water and the toothpaste. "Thanks." I drowned. "No problem grumpy pants." She wrinkled her nose.
Rolling my eyes, I lifted myself off the floor and went outside to do my routine. The sun was shinning the light out of me, I could almost feel transparent. Most of the campers were already outside, doing the most with their lives. As for me I was dreading every single second of this hell.

I finished with my shower and the air dried my hair. Since I forgot to bring a hair dryer. Breakfast was light, a granola bar and milk. Going back to my tent, I grabbed my phone constantly texting my dad. He's ignoring me. I know he is. He's a fast texter but I've been texting him since I stepped foot on the dirt.
I decided to do a walk around the campsite but no where near far away. I tend to get lost very easily. While I was walking I spotted Amber and her friends. Feeling some type of way was an understatement. I was low lied upset. I mean if she wanted to change her camp buddy she could of just asked.
Before I even got the chance to walk away she called my name. "Emberly!" She yelled. I didn't turn, pretending that I received a call. "Hello, Hey dad." I motioned to my phone at Amber, and she rolled her eyes. While talking to a black screen phone, I didn't notice Amber coming my direction. Taking my phone out my hand, she admitted "I know your dad didn't call you. Let's go." She pulled me along.
"Emberly I want you to meet my friends. This is Janet. This Rebacca." She introduced. They both waved and I did the nonchalant wave. "You liking the camp so far Em?" Janet questioned. Wow I already have a nickname invented in this place.
"No." I stated firmly. "Why you so pouty, I think this could be fun if you want it to be." Rebecca chanted. "Yea." I commented. "She hella gloomly." Janet whispered to Amber. "I heard that." I grumbled under my breath. "Their right Em. Let's do something exciting! What are your hobbies?" Amber questioned. "Well....I do have one.." I said leading them on. "Yea which is?" Janet continued.
"Not meeting new people." I replied with a straight face. They all huffed wishing that I wouldn't drag myself away. They must think that being in a wilderness can have the effects of doing what normal people do. Like "hanging with friends, eating normal food, enjoying time in the nature." Or the most simplest thing ever. Having an earthly connection.
Well if they have one thing that is wrong, its this. People disturb me. Nature is my enemy. And having two of the things mixed together is the most horrified wish ever.

"Okay so we went hiking, learned how to weave bracelets, tell the differences between good and bad berries, learning the wilderness.." Amber trailed off with listing the activities we did in the day time.
I on the other hand was far from that. I was finding ways to receive connection. After countless messages not being sent to my father once again. There was one thing that caught me off guard though.
Elijah. Oh trust me indeed I have no interest in finding love in a dirty smelly camp with disruptive children ruining my summer. But the name did make me curious with everyone busy mouths repeating it so constantly.
So..it was time for me to ask. "Who's Elijah?" I interrupted Amber. She turned around with a smirk smacked right on her face. "Your crushing...?" Her smirk grew bigger. I rolled my eyes. "How can I crush when I don't even know who he is?" I replied. "She's right." Rebecca said. "Elijah is this new camper that just came in a few days after we arrived. He has short hair, hazel brown eyes..."she trailed with drool down her mouth.
"What the heck..." I stood there with a line on my face and walked away. "Was it something I said?" Rebecca wondered wiping her mouth. The girls just shook their heads in disgust.

I knew that nothing could make me happy. Once I stepped on bus my life was sucked right back into my house. Where it belongs. I'm a walking zombie. I tried calling my mother but her messages were very blunt.
"Don't call me unless your burning. Literally." Mother of the year you could say huh. As usual when I shut myself from the world I read. I honestly love comedy romance books.
I know the romance doesn't seem like a person like me. But every book gotta have some type of gushy junk. Its makes the single people out there not feel as lonely. And whoever this Elijah kid I lost interested. Too many girls want him. And most definitely I don't.
