 I awoke with the peaceful morning breeze and the campfire still going. Emma had been really upset last night and Brook was dead silent. I sat up to see who was awake. Conner and Mason were the only ones up. They were laughing and it seemed like they were getting along. 

 "Morning J!" Conner said. 

 "Morning," I yawned. Mason and Conner continued talking with each other. I just laid back down, not wanting to interrupt. I ate some berries we had collected on the island. I decided to get up and look around.

 The mountain had lead up so we were now more on a hill overlooking a huge body of water, and above it was a beautiful view of the sun rising. I sat down, my legs dangling off the edge to catch something so beautiful in this dreadful world. Then I felt someone sit down next to me, but I didn't take my eyes of the sunrise. 

 "So, you like me?" Brook asked. I turned to see her blushing. 

 I turned back to the sunrise. "Well, uh...yeah I guess." 

 Brook giggled. "I like you too, but I didn't know when the right time was to tell you, with everything going on and such." 

 I nodded. "Well now I know, but it doesn't matter because we have a mission to do." Brook scooted a bit closer, my shoulders tensed a little. 

 "Beautiful sunrise." Brook said turning to me, her eyes gleaming and glistening. 

 I felt myself drooling inside and couldn't stop myself when I whispered, "Not as beautiful as your eyes." Brook blushed softly, it made me go insane. I lost sight of the world, I lost sight of the sunrise. All I could focus on was Brook. I moved in and kissed her, closing my eyes at the contact of our lips. I then pulled away, eyes opening to see Brook. She was a little shocked but she smiled. I smiled and then turned back to the sunrise.

 "Ahhh looooove." I heard two voices say behind me. I turned back to see Conner and Mason laughing, saying all sorts of weird things, and making weird faces and noises. 

 "Shut up." I said. Then I saw Emma as well. She gave a smug look and turned to look away. I stood up and Brook joined me. I smiled awkwardly and Brook gave a shy smile. 

 "Enough of that, like I said! We have a mission to do!" I said to everyone.

 Emma turned back at us looking even more angry. "J! I've had it with you! All those moments we've shared in the past. The true feeling, we shared for each other...j-just for this girl?" 

 I frowned. "Em, you know that our feelings have never gone passed being each other's friends, and I thought that was okay!" 

 Emma moved closer. "But I thought we had something more! I mean, what do you even find attractive in her?" Brook looked offended. 

 "Em, you just need to calm down. We can't be at each other's throat just because of relationships."

 Emma raised her voice. "I will not calm down when you are with that dirty worthless piece of garbage!" 

 Brook stepped forwards pushing me out of the way. "That's it, you've crossed the line." Mason and Conner looked excited, ready for a fight. Emma's glare turned to Brook, her left eye twitching involuntarily. Emma transported right in front of Brook. Their eyes met in a huge battle of hatred.

 "How DARE, you take J away from ME!" I cringed at the sight. 

 "Emma! Even if Brook never would've shown up we still would just be friends, I liked it that way."
