Joey's Pov

We've been driving for about an hour now and I'm getting restless.

"Nicole, are we almost there?" I said half- whining.

"Chill, Joey. We're close." she says.

We drove for about ten more minutes then came to a stop.

"WE'RE HERE!"

I look out of the car window.

You've got to be kidding me.

"You brought me to an amusment park?" I said, dissapointed.

"Oh come on Joey!" she says.

"It'll be fun! You used to love this place when you were younger."

"We'll I'm older now." I say.

"Yeah, yeah. Just get out of the car."

We both get out of the car, and Nicole literally drags me to a ticket booth where she buys us both one-hundred tickets. (A complete waste of momey if you ask me) She thanks the person working at the booth and the first ride she brings me to is the biggest roller coaster in the park.(No suprise there)

"Nicole I don't want to go on any rides!" I protest.

"Joey, you love roller coasters. I brought you heer so that we could spend New Year's Eve together." she said, obviously hurt.

"You're right. I'm really sorry Nicole." I sigh.

"Don't worry about it, come on!"

Suprisingly, the line was pretty short and we were one of the first ones to ride. We got on the ride and honestly, I was pretty nervous about it. Yeah, I used to love roller coasters but things are different now. I feel like such a whimp. Then before I knew it, the ride took off, going full speed.

I heard screaming behind me. We were in the very front row. Nicole, sitting next to me, sceaming with joy. Then it happend. Very unexpectedly, I felt a rush run through my body. It felt as if I was on fire, but in a good snd exciting way. It felt.....nostalgic Eventually, I was also screaming. And smiling. The only difference was....

This smile was genuine.
