Joey's Pov

I sat on my couch texting my sister Nicole, anime on the tv which I'm not watching. 

Nicole: Hey Broseph :)

Joey: Hey Nicole, what's up?

Nicole: Any plans for New Years Eve?

Joey: Not really, I guess I'll stay at home.....

Nicole: Really?! Why not come down to Boston if u don't have plans?

Joey: Idk. It might not really be the best time to come to Boston........

Joey: Plus, I wouldn't be able to get out there in time anyway, it's too close from now.

Nicole: I just bought you a ticket online, you better start packing cuz your flight's tonight!

I didn't text her back after she sent that text. Godammit I don't wanna go! 

I get up from the couch and get my suitcase from the closet. I pack just my basic needs and lots of long sleeve shirts. I'm gonna need them. Maybe seeing family will be a good thing. Everyone knows about Cat. They also think that I'm being distant. Well, they're wrong, I just don't have as much energy as I used to. I get another text.

Alyssa: Hey

Joey: Hi Alyssa.

Alyssa: Watcha Doin'

I don't respond. The fact the my best friend Sawyer's wife is texting me right now is a little bizarre. Sure, we're friends amd everything, and she's nice and all..... I don't know. I turn my phone off, and continue packing,  I've only got four hours 'til my flight.
