Chapter 12

Melissa's POV:

I run until my legs get tired. I kind of have an idea where I am. I find a hotel and get a room. I'm staying here for a while so I might as well get a good room. The man on at the front desk gives me my key and I quickly go to my room. "Wow what a lovely room." I say while walking into the room. "WOAH LOOK AT THE BED!" I say while running to it. I jump on it to find out its a water bed. "A WATER BED!? NO WAY! THIS PLACE IS FANNNCCCYYY!" I yell.

Ashton's POV:

I come home to find Luke downstairs on the couch crying with his face in his hands. "What's wrong mate?" I ask quickly walking over to him with the boys following close behind. "M-M-Melissa." He studders. "Yeah what's wrong?" I ask. "I-I-I cheated on her and s-said I was s-sorry but she w-won't come out o-of her r-room." He studders. "How long as she been up there?" I ask worriedly. "A-about an hour." He says. "Oh my gosh." I say as me and the boys run upstairs to her room. "N-no use I-it's locked." Luke says. I grab the door knob to see that it isn't locked. "MELISSA? MELISSA?" I scream. No response. I look at the window, it's open, wide open. "Oh no." I say. "What's this?" Calum asks holding a note. "Want me to read it out loud? It's from Melissa." I say. "Yes!" All the boys say. "Ok here it goes." I say. 

"Dear Ashton, Calum, Michael, & Luke,

I'm running away. I'm sorry, I just can't handle the stress. It's not You Ashton, Michael, or Calum. It's you Luke. You cheated on me with my best friend. I've had things break my heart, but this was the worst possible way to break my heart. I've lost trust in you and my best friend. I might come home soon, but for now I'm gone. You can text me all you want Ashton, Calum, & Michael, but for you Luke, I won't be answering any of your texts or calls for a while. I'll only talk to Ashton, Calum, & Michael. Oh yeah one last thing, I broke a promise. Want to know what that promise was? Well if not I'm telling you anyway. I cut. I promised not to but I did. Sorry for letting you down. But I'm used to it. I let everyone down. I'm just another waste of space. I know how it feels to be used and I just got used by Luke. Don't lie Luke, you never really liked me and you only used me to get prettier girls than me. How do I know you never liked me, if you really did like me you would've never cheated on me. I'm sorry for running away but it's my choice and I'll be home soon. I promise and that's a promise I'll never break. I WILL come home soon. I just don't know when. But thanks for being there for me. Love, Melissa"  I say while crying. "She ran away all because of me." Luke says. "Luke..." I say. "Don't hurt me." He says. "I'm not. I just want to say was cheating on her really worth it?" I ask. "No." He says. "At least you were honest. I'm texting her." Michael says. "Ok." I say. "I'm going to bed." Is all that Luke can say. "I'm going to bed without my penguin." He says while sobbing. "Oh Luke." I say while hugging him. "Here take this." I say while giving him a gift. "Melissa has the other one, it says Luke on her's." I say. "It's a penguin that says Melissa." Luke says while smiling. "Yeah it was my idea."
