Falling In Love

Chapter 31

Melissa's POV:

I open my eyes and I see Luke taking me to my room. So I just cuddle up to him and let him carry me to my room. Then we arrive at my room door and Luke pushes it open. He walks over to my bed and places me down. He then pulls the covers over me and kisses my forehead. "I love you Melissa." Luke says. "I love you too Luke." I say as I hug him. We let go of each other and he walks out of the room as I fall asleep. ~2 hours later~ I'm stirring around in my bed. "NO! DON'T DO IT!" I yell in my sleep. "NOOOOO!" I yell again but this time I cry. I wake up panting, sweating, and crying. I just curl up in a ball and cry. After a few minutes of crying I fall asleep again only to scream again. "NOOOO! STOP DOING THAT! PLEASE STOP! NOOO!" I yell. I wake up yet again and then a few seconds later I hear footsteps running towards my room. Then Andrew opens the door to find me crying in a ball, just like earlier. "Melissa why'd you scream? Why are you crying? What happened?" Andrew asks all at once. "I h-had a nightmare a-about Skylar!" I say while Andrew comforts me. "What was Skylar doing?" Andrew asks. "K-killing h-herself. She k-kept on cutting h-her wrists. N-not holding b-back. C-cut after c-cut. S-she wouldn't s-stop, even a-after I s-screamed at h-her to s-stop. S-she also k-kept on s-staring at m-me too. S-she knew I-I was t-there." I say in between sobs. "Wow. I'm sorry Melissa. Do you want me to get Luke?" Andrew asks. "Y-yes please." I say. After I say that Andrew leaves me where I am and goes to Luke's room. "WHAT!?" I hear Luke yell followed by fast footsteps leading towards my room. Then Luke bursts through my door, runs to me, and then pulls me into a big hug. "Melissa, you had a nightmare about Skylar?" He asks concerned. "Yeah, did Andrew tell you what it was about because I don't feel like explaining it again." I complain. "Yeah he did baby, yeah he did." Luke says as he comforting me. "Just forget about the dream, you just miss her. I know how it feels. I lost a friend too when I was little." Luke says. "What happened to him?" I ask. "My friend and I were playing ball and the ball went across the road and my friend looked both ways and got the ball, then he turned around, looked both ways and walked back but this drunk driver was speeding drunkly and hit him. I called the 911 quickly and they came, but they said they did everything they could and that has was gone." Luke says while trying not to cry. "I'm sorry Luke."  I say. "It's fine." Luke says while hugging me tighter. "Luke, I'm tired." I say. "Me too." Luke says. "But I'm scared the nightmare will happen again." I say. "It won't and I'll stay in here with you." Luke says as he gets under the cover and pulls me with him. Then Luke cuddles into me. His head on my chest with his arms around me and mine wrapped around him. I whisper, "I love you Luke," in his ear and I kiss his forehead and he smiles and says, "I love you too Melissa." back to me. And with that I fell asleep with Luke in my arms......
