Annabeth

I was giving greek lessons for Alyssa when Percy burst into the the room. He came straight towards Alyssa.

"No! Alyssa! You-You can't go on the quest!"

He seemed exhausted.

"What do you mean. I have to go! The prophecy says so." Alyssa told him.

"No! You can't!"

"Percy! What the hades is wrong with you?" I asked.

"I saw a vision. Alyssa can't go!"

I grabbed Percy's arm and led him out side.

"What did you see?" I asked him.

"I thought I was having one of my flashbacks but instead I saw a vision." He mumbled.

Tartarus had affected us badly and it still hadn't gone away but it was getting better, definitely.

"Well, what happened?" I asked him.

"Alyssa, she, she, she's going to, she's going to...die." He told me, but he said the last word in barely a whisper and I had to strain my ears to make out what he said.

"Percy, it'll be alright I said. We'll protect her. Make sure nothing happens to her. Okay. She's going to be fine." I tried reassuring him. "Did you see anything else in your vision?"

"Yeah, she, she had to make a choice, to sacrifice herself and save the world or save herself. She... She chose to save the world. That's -that's all I saw."

I gripped his shoulders and looked him in the eye. "Percy, then she was a hero. A hero without a doubt. I remember when you got that prophecy we thought you were going to die, and you told that if you die, you die. You were prepared to save the world even if it means you have to sacrifice your self. She was prepared to give up her life." I let go of his shoulders and he started shaking ever so slightly.

Tears welled his eyes. "That, that was different. It was me, not my sister. What would I do I she dies."

"You'll make sure she dies for nothing. Percy you can't change fate, but you can make a difference."

I wiped off his tears with my little finger.

"It's okay. We'll do our best to keep her safe." I said and pulled him into a hug. The door to the Athena cabin opened and Alyssa walked out and we quickly pulled out of the hug.

It reminded me of the time when I was in athena cabin after getting the prophecy of the battle of the labryinth and when Percy gave me a hug to comport me. But then Malcolm had come in to tell me that I had archery next, and had seen the whole thing. Percy had told him we were looking at maps but he obviously didn't believe it. I smiled at the memory of how much a seaweed brain he'd been when we were young. Now he was big caring brother who didn't want anything to happen to his sister.

Alyssa snapped me out of my thoughts, "what are you doing?"

"Looking at maps." I said smiling, stealing a glance at Percy. He had a small smile on his lips but it quickly disappeared.

Alyssa looked at both of us in turn quizzically. She raised an eyebrow.

"Nothing, just an inside joke." I told her.

She nodded her head slowly and said, "Riiiiight."

Then she looked at Percy. "Percy? Were you crying? What's wrong guys?"

"Nothing, nothing's wrong. I'm fine. Just tired, sorry, I-I just had a flashback of Tartarus." He said and went towards the lake. I saw him jump in to the lake from the corner of my eye.

"What was wrong with him and what is Tartarus?" Alyssa asked me.

"Come on, I'll explain inside."

Me: Hello World! What's up?

World: the sky.

Me: ahhhh! The world can talk.

World: 'cause I can! That's because I'm Gaia.

Me: ahhhhhhhh! Wait! Gaia? I never thought Gaia would have a sense of humor.

Gaia: are you trying To test my temper, child?

Me: No! No! No! Of course not... Umm....your majesty?
