We watched Nico run out of the room with Alyssa close on his trail.

"Get back here, and admit that I won!"

"But you didn't"

"There's still a thousand more people I need to question in this world."

As Alyssa's and Nico's voices faded into the distance, I turned to a stunned looking Percy.

"What just happened there?" I asked him.

"No idea, but I've never seen Nico act like that since- since Bianca died." Percy answered. I nodded slowly in answer.

"Percy, your sister is magic." I said in awe.

Percy gave a little laugh and sat down on his bed and I sat down beside him. He gazed out the window in front of him, thinking...of a memory. I knew him well enough to know this.

"Remeber the first time I ever set foot at camp?" Percy asked.

"Yeah. You drool in your sleap." I remembered, making him smile. "You still do, you know." I added as an after thought.

He looked at me in disbelief.

"I do not!" he protested.

I laughed and replied, "Yeah, you do seaweed brain."

Percy pouted, crossing his arms over his chest. I laughed again and kissed him on the cheek.

"Come on, let's go get something-" I started but stopped abruptly staring out the window.

I was vaguely aware of Percy calling me. "Wise Girl? Annabeth? You okay?"

Still staring out the window, a line of the prophecy came back to me.

The mark of Athena burns through Rome.

I now understood why that line was repeated in this prophecy. It was simply a  reminder and a route for us to take, because just outside that window, glowing a bright red was a mark I recognised immediately. A mark that guided me through my underground solo quest. Yes, you guessed right, the mark of athena was once again showing me the way.

A/ N.  Okay, I know that was a short chapter and I am so sorry for not updating in like forever! But I really wanted to get that up before I sleep. And I know that the Mark of Athena only appears when Annabeth is alone, but on this quest, that rule doesn't apply because it's not the original Mark of Athena.
