Nico: unless you want to go to the underworld, you will do it.

Me: oh hello Nico! Can I have your autograph?

Nico: ( shadow travels away )

Me: why does nobody give me their autograph.😪

Carter

Me and Sadie were with the Hermes cabin practicing archery until this kid came running after our cabin and told the cabin leaders, Travis and Corner Stoll, that there was a meeting. And he also told to bring me or Sadie with them.

So now here we are around a Ping-pong table in the rec-room for a 'very important' meeting.

Percy, Alyssa, Travis, Connor, Annabeth, Chiron, a red headed girl, a bulky and big girl, and a few others were there.

Chiron cleared his throat and announced, "well, Alyssa told me that Rachel gave a prophecy when they were alone in her cave. Alyssa would you mind repeating the prophecy?"

Alyssa took a deep breath as everyone looked at her and recited,

"Four of the seven shall travel again,

In a vessel treasured by the forge.

An old enemy rises once more,

Invulnerable unless the sea's 2 powers merges.

The daughter of wisdom shall lead the way,

The mark of athena burns through Rome.

The daughter of darkness and the two magicians,

Shall play a role."

She must've had a really good memory, because there was no way I would've been able to remember all that.

"I believe we just received our third great prophecy." Chiron declared.

"Well, it's obvious who should go. The sea's 2 powers must be percy and Alyssa." Annabeth reasoned.

Percy groaned and slammed his head on the table.

"Why is it that I am always in a great prophecy?" Percy groaned.

I felt sorry for the guy, of this was the third great prophecy, he would've been in 2 already.

"The two magicians are probably me and Sadie." I decided to say.

"The daughter of darkness is hazel" Annabeth continued pointing at a girl with black frizzy hair. "And the daughter of Athena is me."

"It's says we're meant to travel by the vessel treasured by the forge." The frizzy haired girl, Hazel pointed out.

The curly haired boy who definitely looked like a trouble make said, "The Argo II. The vessel treasured by the forge. The Argo II."

I had no idea what the Argo II was but everyone else nodded in agreement.

"if we're taking the Argo II, Leo should come too. Since he's practically the only one who can operate it."

Annabeth said with a smile, "So that's it, four of the seven, that'd be me, Percy, hazel and Leo, the two magicians would be Sadie and Carter, and Alyssa."

"Does anyone dis-agree that Percy, Alyssa, Annabeth, Carter, Sadie, Leo and Hazel should go on this quest?"

Chiron asked.

"Me!" Percy put his hand up. "I disagree with the choices. I think that I should not go."

Annabeth rolled her eyes, "Percy, I know you have been in two great prophecies already, but this prophecy says that you need to go. Without you we wouldn't be able to win. Sea's two powers, that's you and Alyssa! I don't want to either, okay. But we have to for the sake of the world." Said Annabeth sounding annoyed.

Annabeth and Percy glared at each other for a 10 seconds before Percy gave in. He groaned and slammed his head on the table again and mumbled something that sounded like "Fine"

We had agreed to go on the quest tomorrow morning. Leo was adding some final preparations to the Argo II and Annabeth had said something about a Library. I was walking aimlessly around the camp, thinking about the prophecy, with nothing to do.

I finally thought about going to the arena to practise a bit of sword fighting since my battle reflexes were getting rusty ( not literally ). So I went inside the arena only to find someone had beaten me to it. With a start I realised it was Percy. He was so good with the sword and had obviously improved since the last time we met. He was smacking at a dummy until all that was left was a pile of hay.

He turned around and saw me for the first time. "Oh, hi Carter. I just came here to practise to... To clear my mind."

"Me too," I replied and his eyes lit up.

"Do you want to spar with each other?" He asked me.

"Sure. All magic allowed?"

"You're on chicken-man!"

"Chicken man? I thought that was past us now?" I say as I took my kopesh out of the Duet and prepared myself.

Percy shrugged and replied, "maybe," and attacked with his sword. I deflected his blow and counter-attacked.

It went on like that for a few minutes I put a couple of spells on him and he poured a gallon of water over my head. soon Percy disarmed my sword. This guy was seriously good.

"That was awesome man!" I told him. "How'd you do it?"

"I guess dousing in water helps."

We shook hands and suddenly Percy's eyes rolled back in his head and he collapsed onto the floor.

I raced outside and quickly got and Apollo camper into the arena. I remembered him from archery, his name was Will. Will knelt down next to Percy and felt his pulse. Suddenly, Percy started muttering things in a language I assumed to be Greek, so of course, I didn't understand.

Will looked at me and said, "Don't worry, it'll pass. It's just an after effect of the time he spent in Tartarus." Will explained.

Tartarus, what is that place? I'll have to remember to ask someone later.

Percy's eyelids fluttered open and he gasped for air.

"A-Alyssa, no, no, sh-she can't go on this quest! She can't!" He managed. He tried to sit up and me and Will helped him up to his feet.

"Where's Alyssa?" Percy asked us.

"Last I saw, she was having greek classes with Annabeth in the athe-" Will never finished his sentence before Percy pushed past us and rushed off outside towards the athena cabin.
