Back on the Argo II.

Yippee! (Note the sarcasm)

How can I sail away to save the world, when I know my sister is going to die?

Alyssa, whom I've only known for a couple of days. It's just not fair!

I sat on my bed, all these thoughts, running through me.

My room was just as I remembered. Blue walls and sea green covers and pillows for the bed. A desk sat on one side. There was also a sofa next to the window.

When we came into the ship, we went to our rooms and decided to meet back at the mess hall in ten minutes.

Alyssa got Frank's room, Sadie got Piper's and Carter got Jason's.

A knock on the door woke me out of my trance.

"Come in," I called out.

I smiled as the door opened and a familiar face with blonde curls appeared.

Annabeth came in and sat down next to me.

"Hey, whatcha doing?" She asked me.

"Just-just thinking." I said.

"Thinking? Thinking about what?"

"Alyssa," I answered.

She was silent for a while, then said, "We should get going, the others will be waiting."

"Yeah, let's go,"

We went up to the Mess Hall where everyone else was waiting for us.

"Guys, I hope you weren't in the stables again!" Leo told us, smirking.

"No, Leo. We weren't." Annabeth said firmly.

Alyssa, Sadie and Carter was looking puzzled, not knowing that Leo was referring to the time when me and Annabeth had snuck away at night into the stables aboard the Argo II. Coach Hedge had been mad! Real mad!

I shook my self back into the present world, to hear them talking about which route we'd take.

"The mark of Athena burns through Rome. That line is the same line from the last prophecy I received."

Annabeth recalled.

"What?" Sadie asked, confused.

"Guys, I think this would be less confusing if we get to know each other first." I told.

"Yeah, but Perce, I don't think it'll be any less confusing for you 'cause your brain is made outta kelp."

"Shut up Valdez."

So we told the Kanes the short version of our adventures from retrieving the master bolt to putting Gaia back to sleep (hopefully forever).

After we finished they stared at us in awe. Alyssa's mouth was hanging open.

"Wow,"Carter summed up.

"So what about you guys?" I asked breaking the ice (with riptide, hee hee hee. No? Okay) because the silence was a bit too uncomfortable.

Then they started explaining about defeating a guy called Set who sounded very much like my dear friend Kronos, and this huge snake called Apis? Apophis? Yeah, that's it, Apophis, who sounded kinda like Gaia.

They explained everything about themselves and about the House of Life.

They described their adventures from coming to Brooklyn house to the very end.

They told us about Amos (A/N Was that his name?), their uncle and their other recruits, Walt, Zia, (the way Carter talked about her, reminded me of when I talk about Annabeth or how Jason talks about Piper. Hmmm, I'll have to ask him about that later.) Jazz, Felix and some others.

After their story, it was our turn to gape at them.

"Well, looks like we've all been through a lot. So who do you think this old enemy is?" I asked, breaking the ice once more.

"Please tell me it's not Queen Dirt Face!" Leo pleaded.

"It can't be Gaia, could it? I mean, didn't we put her to sleep for another thousand millennia?" Hazel asked.

"I don't think it's Gaia. We just put her back to sleep. It might be Kronos." Annabeth said. "Or Apophis."

"Kronos, he can't reform again so soon, could he?" I asked.

"If it is Apophis, he'd be-" Sadie never got to finish whatever she was about to say because just then we heard a crashing noise from above docks, closely followed by a loud roar.

Together we ran towards the noise.
