"Maybe," the man replies. I pull my dance ribbon from my bag, and Kurapika grabs his wooden swords. "Wanna give it a try?" I throw my bag to the side and run at him.

I don't hit him head on, instead dashing to the side at the last minute, allowing my ribbon to wrap around his ankle. I tug it out from under him as I slide between two trees, Kurapika now taking his turn.

The man recovers from my attack quickly, placing his palm on the ground and pushing himself over Kurapika's head and kicking his back, forcing my blond friend to tumble forward.

Kurapika spins around quickly, and I silently commend him on his reflex speed. He blocks the man's fist with a wooden sword, aiming one of his own elbows for the stranger's gut.

The man blocks easily with his palm, and Kurapika jumps away. Our opponent pulls back a fist, and a chill shoots through my spine.

"Kurapika!" I shout, tackling the blond to the ground just before the fist could touch him. I return to my feet quickly and, having dropped my dance ribbon earlier, raise my fists.

I throw a volley of punches in the man's direction, and he dodges each one with ease.

"You've got a lot of stamina," he grunts, continuing to avoid my onslaught. "What's your name?"

"Why - does - that - matter?" I mutter between breaths and punches. Before he can respond I raise my leg quickly, putting four times the amount of force behind the kick than what I used on Todo during the second phase. It makes contact with the man's chin -

"What the heck?" I exclaim incredulously, completely and utterly shocked.

The kick had absolutely no effect. The man didn't budge, not even a centimeter. It didn't even look like there would be a bruise.

"Who -" I hesitate, my eyes moving from where the man's hand now gripped my ankle to his face. "Who are you?"

"Name's Konyo," he says, tightening his grip slightly. "And yours?"

"Ara," I tell him in response to his repeated question, the realization hitting me that we probably wouldn't win this fight.

But I won't dare go down without trying.

The fight continued with Kurapika and I attacking the stranger with as much force as we could muster, but we couldn't ever do any damage. Kurapika landed several strong hits without making so much as a scratch.

This fueled the two of us further...but only led to us exhausting ourselves to the point of collapse.

I wasn't planning on writing a fight scene for Kurapika and Ara, but why not?

The guy that taught Kurapika wasn't actually given a name in the 2011 anime, so I named him Konyo just for the sake of this scene.
