"Okay... Race you to the airport!" Gon yells.
"Oh, you are so on!" I shout.
"Ready... Go!"
*Twelve Days Later*
We were back in the small town near Kukuroo Mountain, this time with Killua. It had taken us all night to reach the town, and I ended up convincing Leorio to let me ride on his back so I could sleep. He's really just a big sweetheart, you know.
"Yeah, he's used that trick on me before," Killua continues with his and Gon's conversation about the game Gotoh played the night before. "Once you know the secret, it's so simple, it'll make you mad."
"Really?" Gon asks, flipping the coin into the air, where Kurapika catches it.
"I'm assuming this was what he did," he says, flipping the coin into the air an catching it. "Which hand?"
"It's your left hand, right?" Gon asks. Kurapika shows the boy his right hand, where the coin rests. "How? Hey, how did you do that?"
"Oh, I get it now," I say, snapping my fingers.
"Gotoh held two coins," Kurapika says, opening his left palm, where another coin sat.
"But he only had the one," Gon argues.
"Anyway," Kurapika continues, "he hid a coin in his right hand, while flipping the other. And then he let us see him grab the coin using his left hand. But before he asked us which hand held the coin, he raised both arms, and he slipped the first coin into his sleeve. That left the coin in his right hand." As Kurapika explains, he demonstrates the trick.
"You got it," Killua tells him.
"That really makes me mad," Gon growls.
"Well, I'm fairly certain that he only used the trick on the final turn," Killua assured. "Gotoh hates cheating, even if it's just a game."
"That's even worse!" Gon shouts. I laugh, and Kurapika chuckles from beside me. We board the train that lead to a different town that held an airport.
"What?" Killua exclaims. "You're here on a tourist visa?"
"Yup," Gon replies simply.
"Didn't you pass the Hunter Exam? You could've just used your Hunter License. It lets you stay in other countries for as long as you want."
"We told him that," I reply.
"I already decided. I'm not using the license until I've finished what I need to do," Gon explains.
"What do you have to do?" Killua asks, leaning forward.
"The tag that Hisoka gave me!" Gon riffles in his pocket, pulling out a numbered tag from the Hunter Exam. "I'll return it to Hisoka when I punch him in the face!"
"Holy crap, Gon!" I shout, pointing at the tag. "Was Hisoka your target during the Fourth Phase?"
"Oh, you didn't know yet? Yeah, he was," Gon says, as though it wasn't a big deal.
"Why didn't you tell me? I could have helped!"
"I wanted to do it by myself," he answers, turning back to Killua. "Anyway, until I punch Hisoka in the face, I won't use my Hunter License. I can't go back to Whale Island, either."
"I see," Killua responds. "So where's Hisoka?"
"Actually..." Gon trails off.
"Thought so," Leorio mumbles.
