"Come on Jules! I wanna watch the next band!" exclaimed Sean Peterson as they fast walked up the stairs to empty seats.

"Sean, there's two seats next to Jason let's go!" Julie Meyer pointed out, grabbing her best friend’s hand.

Once Julie and Sean sat down Jason smirked, "Nice for you two to join us."

"Shut it Sharp. Jules took forever in the bathroom," Sean said, pushing his glasses further up his face.

"Sorry, other girls don't know how to piss quickly," Julie replied.

Julie Meyer was a freshman in high school along with her best friend, Sean Peterson. They both joined their high school's award winning Marching Band over the summer and were happy to become friends with Jason Sharp.

Jason was a junior at the time, he played the Alto Saxophone, like Sean and was mainly how Julie met him.

Jason and Julie became really close when over the summer at band camp; the two learned they would be next to each other for most of the second movement of their show.

"Now entering the field from Kansas City, The Kansas City High Marching Bulldogs!"

At that time a new band came onto the field to perform their show.

Their sea blue, black and white uniforms looked worn down from years of use but their black shako and plumes stood perfectly on their heads.

They were significantly smaller than the band that Julie, Sean and Jason were apart of and their color guard was had very little members.

The two Drum Major's saluted the judges and when given the signal, the band performed.

Though they were small their show was very entertaining.

It was about California surfing or something like that.

At the end of their performance, Julie stood and clapped for the group for she had been entertained.

"LANCASTER BAND MEMBERS LET'S GO! OUT TO GET CHANGED!" Called the graduate assistants for Lancaster's band, something Julie was part of.

As Julie walked out of the stadium to her school's buses to change into her uniform for her own performance, she got into an interesting conversation about Sousaphones with Jason.

"You see, that's where you are wrong my friend. It is impossible to get a shako and plume on top of a sousaphone player's-" she suddenly ran into someone while talking. She fell backwards, landing on her butt.

"Ow," she murmured.

"I'm sorry," said a voice from above her.

The boy was dressed in the same blue uniforms as the band that just walked off the field. His jet black hair stuck to his face and he carried a Tenor Saxophone.

"No worries! I wasn't looking where I was going! I loved your show by the way. Good luck at awards tonight," Julie said sweetly as she stood up with a hand from Sean.

"Thanks you too. I'm a big fan of Lancaster," the boy said smiling and walking away.

"Tell me you can at least still march?" Sean asked worriedly.

"Of course silly!" Jules said swatting at her best friend as she walked to her bus to change while all the men unloaded the instrument truck.

That night Lancaster came in third in their division. Lancaster was well known and admired by marching bands across the United States.
