Bonfire

Friday morning Julie was woken up by her alarm clock. The thing she hated the most.

She lazily got up and went down stairs and ate a granola bar and had a cup of coffee.

Her parents had told her the night before that she would have to clean a little for the bonfire that night.

And so Julie got to work.

She changed into crappy clothes and blasted her playlist that included The Fray, Billy Joel, Pitbull, Ed Sheeran and the 1975.

Julie was always told she had an odd taste in music.

She listened to everything from Bruce Springsteen, to Hunter Hayes to One Direction.

She had well over five hundred songs on her phone. She listened to what she thought was good music.

If Julie didn't like it, she didn't bother with it.

Not mention her favorite composers: John Williams, Peter Tchaikovsky along with others.

Julie started with her room. She put away clothes, made her bed and arranged her sheet music that was scattered throughout her room.

Then she moved to her bathroom, straightening everything up.

The kitchen counter needed to be wiped down and Julie spent 25 minutes doing that (after making herself Mac & Cheese, of course).

By the time Julie finished cleaning it was two-thirty.

She decided to go for a quick run.

She changed into athletic shorts, a tank top and her running shoes.

Her music pounded trough her ears as she approached the park and it's pathway.

Autumn Leaves by Ed Sheeran sang while Julie jogged through the wooded area.

The pathway itself was a quarter of a mile, and then back to her house was only another half a mile.

Her music changed into a song by The Fray.

Julie's feet slowed to the beat of the music as she rounded the curve near the stream.

Julie had no idea why but the stream fascinated her.

She slowed down even more and she admired the water flowing freely.

It could go wherever it wanted. It was free.

Unlike her, it could go to Lancaster.

Sean didn't disclose a lot of information about Lancaster's show; only that it wasn't as good as the year before.

It excited Julie to know she wouldn't be missing an amazing show because then she would probably mope around more than she already was.

Julie hurried home and took a shower, cleaning her body and washing her brown hair.

After she was changed into jean shorts and a Pink Floyd shirt Julie pulled her desk chair over to her piano where she had a pencil and sheet music already set out.

She found sheet music online for Hunter Hayes' song, Invisible.

It was Julie's latest project.

Her fingers pressed the white and black keys playing out the correct notes as she quietly sang along.

"Trust the one who's been where you are; wishing all it was, was sticks and stones. Those words cut deep but they don't mean you're all alone; and you're not invisible... "
