> Ari's POV < emily looked to her right and left before speaking up.
"do you like daniel? cuz i thought you knew that i liked him." she said, looking at the ground then back up at me.
i giggled, "i don't like him. what makes you think that?"
she softly smiled and replied, "oh... and um, shannon and jade told me you did."
i rolled my eyes, "don't listen to them. they only wanna mess things up between us. they don't matter really. i don't know why they think they're so great and all."
"aight, got it," she winked, "see ya later."
i smiled.
i felt a few pair of eyes on me.
i looked to my right to see jade, shannon, and tori staring at me, whispering, and giggling. shannon gave me a fake smile and waved.
what a bitch.
i smiled back and flipped her off.
their smiles faded away, as they squinted their eyes at me and left. :)
the school day honestly sucked as always, but i survived.

school was already finished by now, and i was in the car with the boys.
i was driving, while devin was in the passengers seat, then kev and daniel in the back. i started the car and made my way to my house. they wanted to come to hang out and stuff.
"yo ari, we were wondering if you and the girls wanted to come over to my house later." devin spoke.
"yeah sure. what we gonna do?" i asked, keeping my eyes on the road.
in the corner of my eye, i could see him smiling at the boys, then looking back at me, "we're gonna go late night swimming if that's aight."
"i mean i'll go but lemme ask text the girls when we get home." i said as i approached the neighborhood.
i heard daniel and kev laughing very softly in the back.
"i really don't trust y'all right now."
ok they scare me.

*45 minutes later*
we were all being lazy, sitting on the couch, with our attention on our phones.
i soon decided that i should text the girls, so i added them into a group chat.
me: AIGHT we having a late night swim thing whatever w/ the boys so come over :)) jailene💋: uhhhhhh i think tf not emily🌹: NAH me: y'all are lame. just come for ya girl😭 jailene💋: fineee 😭 emily🌹: ok ok 😩 ihy me: ilyt :))
i clicked my phone off, then looked up to see the boys still attached to their phones. i faked a cough, but it did nothing. so i finally said, "the girls said they're coming."
their heads shot up at me.
"sounds good." daniel smirked.
"why y'all acting like you're up to no good? we're just swimming right?" i crossed my arms.
they looked at each other. "yeah you're right, we're just swimmin" kev said, winking at me. he looked really good.

i walked into the kitchen because i was hungry. i opened one of the drawers and searched for a few snacks. then, i got into my tip toes and searched the top cabinets.
i felt a body behind mine. i already knew it was the kid; kevin.
i rolled my eyes but realized, 'ok ari, nows your chance to mess with him like he did to you.'
i slowly turned around and stepped closer to him until there was no space between us.
my arms made their way around his neck, as my fingers traced the back of his neck. i brought his head closer to me as i bit my lip.
i let my right hand lightly slide against his cheek, as he gripped my waist.
he licked his lips and closed his eyes. ha, he thought.
i let go of him, grabbed my snacks, then walked out of the kitchen.
"tonight's gonna be interesting baby." i heard him say, as i left.
