Chapter 3

Next Day
Maxons POV

I woke up extra early and went to get some work done so that I could have some free time today. By the time breakfast rolled around I was done! After breakfast I went strait to America's room.
I knocked. She opened her door and smiled.
"Hey Maxon!" She said sounding excited.
"Hi, would you like to accompany me to a movie?" I asked.
She smiled, "I would love to," suddenly she stopped and got that silly smile on her face that I loved, " RACE YOU!" She shouted, and took off. I smiled and ran after her. She won by a long shot.
We sat down and started picking movies.
"I vote comedy!" We said at the same time smiling. We picked a movie and we were both falling out of our seats laughing by the end. Once we were done we decided to head up to the roof.
We had only been up here once before and that was when it was raining, my dad was so mad!! She ran to the edge immediately and her face lit up. I smiled, she could be so cute sometimes. I waked over to her and put my arm around her. She smiled and we looked out over the city together.
Suddenly the door flew open and my dad ran in. He looked so upset.
"Maxon, what is going on here!?!" He shouted.
"We were just hanging out, Dad, it's nothing." I replied.
"Oh it is definitely something! Do you have any idea what could of happened?! I have had it with her! Every time something goes wrong it's her fault!" He yelled pointing at America, she looked scared.
"Dad, it isn't her fault it's mine!" I said so that he would spare her, I knew what would happen.
He glared at me, "I have had enough!"
Before I knew it he had grabbed my arm and was dragging me away from America. She looked terrified for me.
Suddenly my Dad stopped and turned around grabbing America's arm to. I grabbed her other arm and pulled her close to me.
"We'll get through this together" I whispered to her. She smiled a tight smile at me. I kissed her cheek and we followed my Dad.

As we were on our way to his office I am saw my mom. Perfect!
"Hey mom!" I shouted to her. She turned and smiled as she walked over to us.
"Hey everyone, I was just heading to dinner if you want to tag along!" My mom sang. My dad couldn't refuse to my mom. I smiled to myself, we will get out of this one.
