America's POV
I smiled to myself as I rolled out of bed. Maxon had suddenly started spending a lot more time with me!
And we had perfectly dodged the king last night.
I slipped into the bath that Mary had prepared for me.
"Why are you so smiley today?" She asked.
"Maxon and I have been going out a lot more lately!"
"I've noticed," she said laughing, " you're never around to play cards anymore!" I laughed too.
"Well let's get you ready for breakfast!"
----------------------Kriss's POV-----------------------
I couldn't believe it! I had finally gotten Maxon in my grasp and I had thought he was close to ending this thing! Ugh it was so frustrating. Why couldn't America just be eliminated already?! Maxon had been hanging out with me but now it's America 24/7. I had to find a way to get rid of her......
Shelly walked in and smiled.
"Good morning, Miss!"
"Hey." I replied.
She walked off to do some sort of cleaning.
I decided to walk down to my special place where I could think (a little nook in one of the hallways that she likes).
When I got there I curled up and began to plot how to twist this competition back again so I could win.
First of all I had had to Maxon on my side.
Suddenly I heard footsteps walking down the hall. I peeked out and saw it was Maxon...Perfect!
I started crying. It was fake of course but I've gotten pretty good at fake crying. I tried to make it sound like I didn't want anyone to hear but loud enough he'd hear it.
I heard footsteps approaching.
Suddenly someone out there hand on my shoulder. I turned around. It was Maxon.
"Kriss? What's wrong?"
"I-it's just....no no nevermind." I whimpered.
"Kriss, please tell me what's going on." He said.
"Y-you never h-hang out with me anymore."
"Kriss, I'm so sorry, I didn't know you felt this way. How about I take you out on a date tomorrow?"
"O-ok." I said sniffling than smiling. He smiled back and gave me a hug.
"I'll pick you up at 10." Then he walked away.
I smiled, I couldn't wait, I wonder what America will think of this.
Ok so I think it's getting better, but it will start getting good soon. Tell me what you think.
