When we got back in Texas, I realized Tisha ditched me to hang with her new friends. It kind of annoyed me how she always left me to hang out with them. I didn't want to be a second option if they decided to ditch her.
I laid down on the pillow next to Zeus and he giggled at whatever toy he was playing with. Seeing my baby smile meant so much to me. I hope Tisha would see that having a baby was a blessing. Most people didn't even have the privilege of doing so.
"Mommy loves you." I placed wet kisses all over his cheeks. He frowned and pouted, which signaled that he was going to cry. He began a soft cry and tears rapidly fell down his cheeks. I held him in my arms and cradled him, to stop him from crying.
"Baby, don't cry." I cooed and began to softly sing a song for him.
Beck emerged from the bathroom and handed me some tissue. I had been sneezing a lot this weekend and it made me think I was catching a cold. I drank my grapefruit juice to help me relieve the congestion.
"Thanks." He nodded and looked at me with so much passion. We didn't really talk until he spoke up and decided to tell me how he felt.
"Milan, I want to be with you." He started and I laughed, because he told me that every day. He never really did anything, because it was clear to me that he chosen sports over me. I didn't like being the second option. "I'm being serious, I even broke up with Samantha."
I turned my head to him, quickly. Okay, maybe I was wrong. He chose me over something, which made me a bit happy. I knew that sports were important to him and how much he loved it.
"Why?" I asked, dumbfounded.
"You mean more to me than some sport or some girl. I want to marry you and live with you until we get old and die. I want my kids to grow up with both parents and to never doubt the love we have for them and each other. I just want them to look at us and wish for a spouse that loves them like we love each other."
My heart warmed at his mini speech. He thought so highly of me and I loved it. I did see myself getting married to him, because I wasn't planning on having another kid with someone else. Unless, I'm married to that person or Zeus really wants another sibling.
"I love you." I breathed out to him. A huge smile had spread across his face. He stood up and then knelt down to me.
"I love you, too Milan Foster." He held my hands. "Will you be my beautiful girlfriend, again?"
"I'd love to be your girlfriend, again." I leaned in and he placed a soft kiss upon my lips. Zeus tried to push us apart and that just made us laugh even more.
For the rest of the time being Beck and I talked about absolutely nothing and it was amazing. It was as if he knew me truly. He knew all about me and sometimes I wondered if my love for him wasn't enough. I just wished he would stay mine forever.
After a while of doing nothing, we decided to go I've skating. I would've asked Tisha to watch Zeus, because it'd be too cold for him in there. I had asked Mandy and she didn't have a problem with it. She was actually having a play date with another kid, so she'd have three babies to watch. I told her I'd call every hour.
Beck and I headed to the ice skating rink. We were dressed down in our long sleeved clothes or anything we found comfortable enough to wear. Beck made sure that I had been properly dressed and felt toasty. He didn't want me to be complaining about the cold.
Although, I could never complain because I love when it's cold. It's easier to get warm when it's cold, but it's hard to get cool when it's hot.
When we reached the rink we went to get our shoes. I carefully put my shoes on and held Beck's hand. We proceeded to the center. Beck gracefully slid across the ice, meanwhile I was struggling to stay up.
"Babe, follow my lead." I nodded and he held my waist. We did a foot by foot and by the end of it all I was now skating like a pro. Well, not a pro, but I was skating better than I was the last time.
I leaned across the wall and something had caught my eye. Tisha was here with Hailey, Elise, Imanii and Mikayla.
I didn't know if I wanted to confront her or not, so I just went to sit down. Beck followed suit."What's wrong?" He asked, caressing my hand.
"I just saw Tisha here with the rest of the girls. I feel left out." I confessed.
"You're not the only friend she has, plus you're her best friend. That's how she felt when you went to hang out with Heather and the rest without her."
"But, I invited her. She didn't even bat an eye to invite me, which I find shady." I pouted and he laughed, heartily.
"You're so cute." He leaned in for kiss and I pecked his lips. Just knowing he was here for me made me forget about Tisha and her new friends. I could care less, because I finally had someone I wanted. I had my baby Beck and that's all I needed.
"How about we go get some food?" He asked and I agreed. We took the ridiculous skates off and went to order food. I got a burger with fries and he got chicken and fries. We decided to eat in the car.
I realized that I should stop worrying about what others thought of me. I just needed to do me and eventually everything would be alright. I had Beck on my side, so I knew I was alright.
Next chapter is epilogue. I feel like I dragged this book on, to be honest. But, anyway I made a spin off to this book. Called, 'Finding Love In 30 Days' it's about:
After college everyone went their separate ways. Imanii finds it hard to find a man who will respect her for her and not just use her for her curvaceous body. Hailey is struggling to let a man knock down her walls that were built up before she even knew it. Elise is a bit too emotional for most guys she hook up with, they see her as overbearing and dramatic. With help from the married experts Milan and Tisha will these ladies find love in 30 days?
The first chapter is up, well the prologue. Please go read it and stay tuned for the epilogue tonight. This was probably my favorite series to write.
