This is so awkward. I feel like I am being judged or just plain out watched by Rosemary's parents. They have been staring at me the whole time during dinner. I am not even dating their daughter. I have done nothing wrong. Completely innocent here.

I look up from my plate and see Rosemary staring at her parents with weird looks. She senses the judgment. She is smarter than she looks.

" I'm finished with my food," Rosemary mutters.

" Same here," I look at her.

" Go on, the maid will pick up the plates," Rosemary's mom nods, looking at me with a smirk.

I stand up and turn around, leaving the room quickly. I look over at Rosemary with a confused face, but she just shrugs. I follow her up the stairs and I head into the guest room. Since it was sort of hot, I decide to take a shower.

I walk into the bathroom in the guest bathroom and look around. Different, completely different from my house. Looking through all of the knobs, I sigh and walk over to Rosemary's room.

" Nerd, how do you turn on the stupid shower in the guest room?" I ask her.

" Just twist the knob to the right," she answers, not looking up from her book.

" Which knob?" I ask. She closes the book and walks past me into the guest room. I follow her and see her pointing at one of the knobs.

" This one."

I walk over to the shower and try to twist it, no water coming out from the shower head. I turn back to Rosemary and give her a confused look. She pushes me out of the way and tries to turn the knob.

" Why isn't it working?" I ask.

" I don't know. I'm not a plumber."

" Can't you just google it?"

" I have no internet connection and it's not that simple Thompson."

" How complicated could it be?"

" Why don't you see for yourself?" she stands up.

I walk over to the shower and try to turn the knob, it still not working. I huff in anger and slam my fist into the wall, the water bursting on my head . I turn to see Rosemary laughing and stand up.

" Not so simple? I punched the wall and fixed it. Now get out, unless you want to see me naked," I push her out the door.

" I don't want to go blinder than I already am, so bye," she walks out of the room, shutting the door behind her.

After a well needed and surely comfortable shower, I changed into sweats, leaving a towel wrapped around my neck.

I turn around when I hear a knock on the door. Walking over to the door, I pull it open, drying my hair with the towel wrapped around my neck.

" What is it?" I look down slightly at Rosemary. Who knew she was taller than most of the girls I have met.

" -Uh- my mom wanted me to tell you that -uh- she needed to talk to you. Holy cow cheeks," she stutters, whispering the last part.

" Thanks for telling me."

" Yeah, totally. Okay I'm gonna go to my room and leave you to put your shirt on," she nods, walking off to her room quickly.

I look at her as she quickly shuts the door behind her, her peeking out a little before shutting the door again. I laugh and put on a shirt, walking downstairs to go talk to Rosemary's mom.
