20 - Christmas Eve and Christmas!

It's almost Christmas Eve and Christmas! Well tomorrow is Christmas eve. I'm gonna spend Christmas Eve with Matt and everyone. Christmas I am spending with my date, Netflix. My parents are gonna be back next year. Ms. Price is going out of town to spend it with her family. So I'm gonna be all by myself. Allll byyyyy myssseeeellff! Don't waaannnnaa beer allllll bbbyyyy myssseeeellff. Annnyymoorree. Alllllll bbbyyyy myssseeeellff. Ddddooooonn'tttt wanna llllliiiivvee all byy myssseeeellff. Annnnnnymoore.

Sorry I just had to break into that song. So I'm about to go to the lights with Matt. Kat and her boyfriend are coming as well. So it's like a double date. If you don't know what the lights are, it's this annual thing they have where you walk around and look at the decorations people put up for Christmas. It sounds dumb, but I heard it's beautiful.

I turn off my lights in my room and grab my phone. I walk downstairs and grab my keys. Once I walk out, I see Matt leaning against his car. It was a red Chevrolet pick up truck. A beautiful truck indeed.

" Nice truck," I compliment.

" Thank you. It was my dad's when he was a teenager," Matt tells me. I nod and continue to walk over to him. He opens the door for me and I step inside.

" Thank you kind sir," I say in a posh tone.

He bows down and walks over to his side. He gets in and starts the truck.

" I was going to ask you this earlier, but I forgot to. How did you get out so easily? I thought the wicked witch of the west was there," he tells me.

" She left in the morning to go spend her holiday with her family," I reply. He nods.

I turn on some music to help out the silence. I tap my feet to the beat and nod my head slightly. It may have been a Christmas song, but hey it was a good one. We stop in front of Kat's house and see her standing outside with her arms wrapped around her boyfriend. I smile to myself. I'm glad she got a boyfriend especially after Drew. She sees the truck and rushes over to us.

" Finally you two are here. It was getting cold," Kat complains.

" You could have stayed inside," I tell her. She pouts and gets into the truck with her boyfriend.

" Hey Jack," Matt waves.

Jack nods his head at Matt saying hi. The ride to the lights consisted of Kat and I talking and the radio playing. Once we got there, I noticed it was nearly packed.

I step out of the car and immediately feel the cold weather. I pull out Matt's black beanie from the compartment and place it on my head. I shut the door and walk over to Matt. He places his hand in my hand and we walk over to the event with Kat and Jack in front of us. I lift my head and look around and the beautiful lights.

~ Matt's P.o.v ( whaaa!) ~

I look at Rose and see her eyes sparkling with the lights. Her lips were curved into a huge smile. I think she's wearing my beanie on. If she is, she looks absolutely adorable in it. Her hands make me warm up inside and slightly blush.

We may be dating, but she just makes me tingle inside. I feel like a girl in some chick flick. When I told my mom about Rose, she told me that she was a keeper. I was actually thinking of inviting her over to my house for Christmas, but knowing her she would say no, because she would be 'interrupting' family time. Which she won't be because my family hasn't even met her yet and they already love her. You are probably wondering how does your family already love her? Well I may have mentioned her many times at family get together. Oh don't you tease me.

" Matt?," Rose ask me, poking my cheek.

" Huh?," I ask her.

" Isn't it beautiful," she tells me, her gaze fixed on the sparkling lights.
