Flashback 1: Mondaze

(This is a flashback to before the apocalypse)
Violet's POV
The alarm on my phone woke my up at the usual time of 6:00 am. I take a shower and do my hair. I laid out my outfit yesterday night.
I make sure my makeup looks good. I go down the hall and downstairs to eat breakfast. My mom greets me by saying "Still wearing black I see." She chuckled a little bit to cover it up but I could still tell that she wished I didn't wear black as much. I got yogurt and fruit out of the fridge and put them in a bowl. "You are gonna be late." my mom said. "I already am." I replied. I finished my breakfast when my friend came to pick me up.

I arrived 20 minutes late to my first class. And so I got detention for the day. Up next I had chemistry, and I was excited for it. We took a test on Friday and I hope I did well. This is the only class that I have an A in, well besides ballroom dance. I had an A- in that class. I enter the chemistry classroom and sit in my usual seat. The teacher started to pass back papers that looked like the tests we took. I got mine back and only looked at it for 2 seconds. I didn't want anyone else to see my grade. I got 100% on the test. I wasn't surprised that much, I usually got pretty good, ok well REALLY good grades in chemistry. My chemistry teacher was nice but no teacher could replace my dad. He was the best at telling me how to make new substances and even how to make gentle bombs. That's what we called them. They wouldn't be able to take a whole house down, but they still did some damage. Of course we never used them, we just learned how to make them and then my dad would "dispose" of it safely so they couldn't hurt anyone. Our teacher said that we would work with our lab partners and study plant anatomy and try to see what it reacts best with to make energy. (I don't know what I just said, or if it makes sense but I'm just gonna role with it.😂) My lab partner didn't really help me at all, mainly because I didn't need it but also because he didn't know that much about it. I was ok with him taking some credit. It just makes everything less dramatic. And I could use less drama in my life right now.
