Chapter 18:

Violet's POV
Eventually Barrett finds me and thinks that we should be a pair. As in we would tape off all the windows and doors together. I'd honestly much rather be with Grover. He'd try to flirt and make me smile. And right now I'm having trouble doing that. Me and Barrett don't really need to tape off much since Diesel and Melvin did a lot of the work. Barrett gives me the job of taking inventory, as if he's the boss. But I just grabbed the clipboard and a pen and decided to do it. Maybe I would run into Grover. First I started with the rooms closest to me. And then I found out that it would take too long. Instead of just going to some unnecessary room filled with rulers and textbooks, I started to go to the important ones. Natalie and Mary were in the kitchen counting so I didn't have to go there. I decided to walk to the Nurses room. Before I even get close to the door, I get excited. I see grovers head and body in there. As I walk closer, I notice that he is grabbing a bunch of stuff and putting them into a bag. What the hell?? I grab the handle and open the door. "What are you doing?" I say. He turns around in terror, I can tell that he's freaking out. His breathing pattern is all messed up now and he starts to hesitate this words. He says "Hey, um.....I found it. I'm not feeling very good." "Should we be worried?" I say. Because he kinda is freaking me out. "Nah, it's just a small fever that's all." This made me really confused, why would Grover take the entire amount of something, if he only needed one? Like he took an entire bottle of hydrogen peroxide. Why not just use it right there in the nurses office? I'm really suspicious so I state back to him "Since when does a fever need hydrogen peroxide?" He zips up his bag and brushes past me while saying "Since when do you care?" He said it with a cold stab. Who knew words hurt so bad?  Because the words just rolled of his tongue so easily, it hurt even more. Something was up. And you know that: when something was up, shit has to go down.
