When I woke up I shifted in Matt's arms and saw he was sleeping soundly. I gently removed his arms from around my waist and sat up. I rubbed my eyes and ran a hand through my hair. Matt's jacket was on the chair near the bed and I saw a bulge in one of the pockets, that has to be his phone. Jake said he and Matt had known each other for a long time, maybe he had his number. I looked back at Matt to make sure he was still sleeping before carefully reaching over my sleeping roommate and pulled out his phone. I went to his contacts and scrolled through the alphabet until I came to the J's. Jake Pitts came up and I pressed his name. I pulled out my phone and went to my contacts and pressed 'Add Contact' and entered Jake's number. Matt was still sleeping and I put his phone back in his jacket pocket. I laid back down next to Matt, he put his arms back around my waist and I decided to text Jake.
"It's CC." I took a deep breath. Jake answered me immediately.
"Does Matt know you're texting me?"
"No.....please don't tell him. He'll freak. I need answers from you Jake."
"I can't risk you having a panic attack again."
"I don't give a fuck. I need some goddamn answers!"
"Christian......" I tensed and bit my lip.
"Shhh......relax CC." Matt whispered in my ear, rubbing my back comfortingly. I let out a sigh and continued texting Jake. Matt must've felt me tense up and thought I was having my nightmare.
"Can you meet me somewhere later?"
"You'll need the okay from Matt before I can do anything with you CC."
I groaned. "You and I both know that he'll never agree to that Jake."
"Yeah......):"
"No don't be sad! We could continue texting and I could write you maybe. Or email. Anything really."
"I don't know........"
"Please Jake. I need you-" I accidentally hit the send button before I could finish the text. Shit!
"Y-You need me?"
"Yeah. To give me answers."
"Oh.....yeah sure I guess." I could tell he was disappointed about something. Heartbroken even. Matt stirred meaning he was waking up.
"I gotta go. Bye Jake!" I quickly slipped my phone back into my pocket and tried to calm my racing heartbeat.
