Jake took me back home to Matt who was on the couch watching TV. He looked over at us and jumped up rushing to us. He tackled me in a hug and I hugged him back.

"I'm so glad you're okay CC! I was worried sick."

"I'm fine Matt, relax. Jake took good care of me."

"Well thank you Jake." Matt pulled on my arm and I hugged Jake and kissed his cheek. He smiles but it didn't quite reach his eyes which looked really sad.

"Bye Christian." He turned and left me with Matt. Matt took me to the couch and sat down.

"What was that about CC?"

"What was what?" I knew what he meant but I wanted to see if I could get him to express why he doesn't like Jake being around me.

"You know what I mean. You two being really friendly to each other."

"Yes I believe couples normally do that to each other. Why is that so surprising?"

"He spilled the beans didn't he? How much did he tell you?"

"Enough to know you've been keeping secrets and hiding me away. I'm not your little Rapunzel Matt."

"He turned you against me didn't he?"

"No."

"Alright. I'm just glad you're safe." He hugs me and we watched tv together. Jake texted me later that evening.

JAKE: I miss you already. I smiled.

ME: I miss you too.

JAKE: I love you Christian. I giggled and blushed madly. Jake was such a cutie.

ME: I love you Jake. Matt looked over my shoulder at my phone.

"Can I help you?" Matt was being so nosy. Why was he being like this suddenly? Does Matt.......oh my God. That better not be what's happening. It can't be. Does Matt......like me?! He's a great guy and I'm flattered, but that better not be true. I got up and walked out of the room and laid on my bed so I could text my boyfriend in peace. I giggled at that word cause I'm so happy I have one. Especially one as sweet and caring as Jake.

JAKE: I can't stand being away from you baby. I'm sorry I'm a clingy boyfriend.

ME: No not at all Jake. I find it very endearing. Matt's being rude can I come over?

JAKE: Absolutely. You're welcome anytime Christian. I'm just hanging with the guys and their girlfriends.

ME: The guys?

JAKE: Yeah that's right. You wouldn't remember them either. I have these three friends and you were great friends with them as well. Andy, Ashley, Jinxx. Ring any bells?

ME: None. I'm sorry. I felt bad I couldn't remember my friends.

JAKE: Christian you're fine. Just come over and I can re-introduce you to them and their girlfriends.

ME: Okay. I just have to get past Matt.

JAKE: I can come get you if you'd like.

Yeah that works too. I want a shower first though.

JAKE: Okay. Ill come by in a few minutes.

I put up my phone and grabbed some clothes. I stepped into the shower and wondered why Matt had changed suddenly. His over-proctectiveness used to be endearing now it made me feel he was smothering me.
